But I uploaded it, copied the URL into the picture thingy, sized it down to 200x200, and then it said

Its not porn or anything, its not even a GIF

You must have used the wrong URL. Make sure it ends in .jpg or something and not like JNSDU3HR%%8Y43JHF ie. random characters and no extension
