broughtonblue Posted 25 January 2012 Posted 25 January 2012 Not seen this posted so here goes. As we played mon night there was no phone in on radio Leicester, but there was an interview between young and lineker broadcast. Nothing really special, just how there lives have gone since they played together and a bit of reminiscing together. Bought back a few memories for me as I used to watch them play. Downloadable off iTunes if interested, just search 'football forum' Skip the first ten mins tho

jonlcfc1990 Posted 26 January 2012 Posted 26 January 2012 It was really good to hear Gary talk about leicester after all the clubs he went too after he stills sees us as his club also i think it might win back a few haters of Alan Young, Yeah he might have his favourites but lets be honest here who doesn't. I've had people next to me rant and rave for 10 whole minutes about wellens missing a pass or not passing the ball quicker then when King does it? Silence it's a joke! BBC RL Is a typical case of we don't know what we've got till it's gone we get every game live heavily biased commentary but we're all biased! we are all leicester fans so why wouldn't we want to hear two leicester fans commentating? Sky on monday were so pro SOTON i had to mute it they didn't praise our play once until the 70th minute! Not to mention the phone ins the player interviews and the openness with the manager and backroom staff. It's a great service i think and long may it continue it was only about 2 years ago they were talking about closing funding for local radio and just having radio 5 on in the day and repeats at night and i think it would be a shame if we lost our local BBC RL

fosseman Posted 26 January 2012 Posted 26 January 2012 Glad I heard it. However, I thought it was unbalanced as there was too much emphasis on Alan Young.
Guest Posted 27 January 2012 Posted 27 January 2012 Good to listen to. I'm glad that even Lineker agrees with me that he was a pretty crap Leciester player who just happened to have a knack for scoring inside the box. The amount of shit I've taken over the years for saying that. I watched him throughout his reserves career and he wasn't even as good as Stuart Hamill.

'He's crap, he only scores goals.' I ask you... all you ask from a striker is goals and that's all he does...

Trust me we've had a lot more strikers who haven't scored goals so who is good in your eyes!
