Jimmy Posted 20 March 2012 Posted 20 March 2012 How come you are dropping Nuge? Rest? pretty much, hasn't been playing as well recently for me either, I liked the look of Schlupp/Beckford when Jeff came on against Brum and think their pace could tear Blackpool's cbs to shreds

Fair enough, he's not looked as good recently and Becks/schlupp looked effective, albeit near the end of the Brum game. But you'd seriously drop the clubs top scorer?

And he has 15 goals, a whole 3 more then Beckford yet you want Beckford out and Nugent as undropable

But it's a big game to introduce Schlupp. If Nuge is fit I'd definitely play him. If unfit then of course I'd go with Schlupp.
Jimmy Posted 20 March 2012 Posted 20 March 2012 no but there is a thread full of posts with you wanting Beckford gone, recently he has been better then Nugent, who Nigel himself has said is in need of a break, which was why he was taken off against Brum, in fact I would have him straight back in on Saturday, unless both Strikers bag a hat-trick which obviously is very unlikely, when he would be rested and ready to take on Hull. Fact is no one is undropable, Nugent's form and performance level has dipped recently so give him a short break and see if that lifts it

I'd start him and if he looked knackered / wasn't putting in a shift, then I'd sub him off. I think you have to start with your best XI tomorrow night and give them a really good run and instructions to go for the jugular from the start. (if only managing was as easy as that in real life!!)

Realistically anyway. I'd play my strongest team, and if Nugent is fit he'd play. There could be little point saving him for Sat if we lose at Blackpool. Schlupp looks good stuff though so I certainly agree with you there. I think he's gonna shine next season. As for me 'wanting Becks out'... I'll continue to post my concerns about aspects of his game. Although not in this thread. But he's on good form at present so I'd deffo play him.
