The need and urge for patience

What a load of Tosh If you call that above, which are open to interpretation, an achievement then you are easily satisfied. Supposition, is in no way an achievement.

Absolute rubbish.

What is open to interpretation about the clear out so far? We did have a bunch of players on large wages who weren't getting in the first team. NP got rid of the ones he could. We've saved money, without it affecting the 1st team.

What is open to interpretation about NP signing Drinkwater, 22, and Marshall, 21? The latter being one of the team's recent outstanding players. These two could be a big part of the future.

What is open to interpretation about NP signing Morgan? He was highly regarded by F*rest fans, and was in the Championship team of the season last season.

What is open to interpretation about Danns', Beckford's and St. Ledger's performances improving greatly since NP's return? I'd like to hear the argument against this.

These are facts. Whether you want to accept them or believe whatever suits you is your own prerogative. This is all in only a few months, outside the pre-season. I think you expect too much too soon.

With reference to Raw Dykes' four points;

1 - I think it's very hard to claim that Abe, Ball, Moreno, Oakley, Berner and - if we're to assume he'll leave - Tunchev were assets. As for the likely departure of Mills; well he'd been a major weak point under Sven. Moreso even than he was for Pearson. The wage bill will almost certainly be lower as of such a clear-out, even allowing for the new players. So I think 'useless', while a bit harsh, still isn't too far off the mark. The anti-Pearson argument would have more strength if we could at least agree on what is clearly the case.

2 - That Drinkwater and Marshall have potential seems fairly clear; not least because Marshall has been one of our best performers of late and is also our youngest. Whether they reach their potential, now that's open for debate. But it's nice to see two under-25s arrive (we didn't have any permanent buys under 24 with Sven).

3 - Wes Morgan was in the 2010-11 Championship team and has reached the play-offs. That isn't open to interpretation.

4 - Can't we at least agree that Beckford, Danns and St. Ledger have been better under Pearson? That's credit to both Sven and Pearson, it's a shame we can't accept this.

So 'tosh' or 'supposition' this isn't. Neither is the fact that we've got more points under Pearson than we managed under Sven and reached the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

I don't think people would argue with you that Pearson hasn't been a glaringly obvious success over the past four months. But consider this: He could very easily have been something more of a failure; there HAVE been some reasons to be optimistic for the future (see above), and - considering his past record - there's little reason to feel that four months of 'standing still' is worse than the massive steps backwards we took after reaching the play-offs in 2010.

It doesn't add up to Pearson being a success. It adds up to him needing more time and, from some quarters, a bit less determination for him to fail!

Do some people on here need reminding that the object of the game is to get Leicester promoted as soon as possible, not for Sven to be better than Pearson (or vice versa)?

Good job Reading didn't say that after their first month of the season, August 2011...

Reading 2-2 Millwall

Leicester 0-2 Reading

Portsmouth 1-0 Reading

Reading 1-2 Barnsley

Charlton 2-1 Reading

Hull 1-0 Reading

Good comparison , they had a bad start while we have had absolute dross all season apart from the odd match that fooled us into believing we had turned some sort of corner. They go on to get promoted and their fans can afford to say " we were patient we knew they would come good" where as we say " my patience has run out " I'm fed up of this shit.

Reading always come good though as seen by last season so it isn't no coincidence they are up their we on the other hand well the less said the better.

Bollox to patience. Everyone is making excuses again, surprise surprise. With the squad that Sven inherited and the money he has wasted, the season has been a complete Fook up.

Pearson has had to juggle with the pack that the Swede left him, but Nige has hardly set the world alight either has he?

The seasons been distinctly forgettable, bar the FA Cup run which also of course ended up in us 'laying down our arms' after about ten minutes in.

Who knows if Pearson will turn it around?

And judging by how we have been playing, next season could be just as bad. Especially if we got the same squad.
