stourbridgefox Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 Maybe the plants evolved to the bees, the bees have hair to keep warm, the plants have evolved velcro pollen to stick to their hairy visitors. The hair doesn't seem to do a very good job of keeping them warm. The slightest cold snap and they are crawling around and dying all over the place. Unless that's just the bald ones?

Maybe the furrier ones are more comfortable for the love making, so they make more babies.
