katieakita Posted 6 May 2012 Posted 6 May 2012 Thought they were expensive old school. Like others have said ensure the money is in your account and has cleared i transfer from my lloyds account into other accounts and i think it is cleared and available in minutes.
Ross-Kemp Posted 6 May 2012 Posted 6 May 2012 I was a CSO at Bede Island call centre for 3 1/2 years. I thought they were pretty good to work for, treated their staff pretty well, but their customers pretty badly - which is why I left. I hated the "sell, sell, sell" mentality where the "best" CSOs were those that got people to take loans and credit cards etc, regardless of their need/ability to pay. And look where that got them! RBS by any chance Trav ?
davieG Posted 9 May 2012 Author Posted 9 May 2012 Did the deal, got the cheque, handed over the vehicle , had to retain the registration document anyway to send it off to the DVLA. Took the cheque straight to the bank who confirmed it was valid, paid it in to an account with a passbook so it's listed in there as mine, was told it would take f4 days to clear but checking online this morning it's listed there as well so assuming all is well and above board As an aside the cashier was so busy trying to sell us some bonds etc that she made a mistake adding an extra 0 which she realised just as she was handing back the pass book, so instead of having £10K+ we had £100k+ for about 30 seconds Oh well the £10k+ wont be in there for long, just passing through my hands

Still could improve your credit score!
