Marked out of it, to be fair and very isolated.

Thought Poland were terrific value and really wanted them to knick it in the end.

To be fair the Russian defence is nothing to shout about. For someone who is apparently going to Man United for 17m, i'm not impressed.

I thought that young Greek lad who came off the bench when on the opening game played a blinder against him. He looks like one to watch.

Russian defence is capable. As Finners said Poland failed to properly support him as well, agreed he was less than impressive. But then I'd advise against judging a player on one or two games, if you'd never seen Robin Van Persie play before and judged him soley on the Denmark game you'd of never of guessed he was one of the hottest properties in World Football but there we are.

As an aside have to say been a thoroughly enjoyable tournament so far. Normally by the time we've had five or six games Im normally not overly bothered about watching every single game but actually a bit peeved that I'll miss a bit tomorrow due to five a side.

I'm saying that I thought he'd be doing a lot better than he has. In the Bundesliga he is superb.

Ah right, well yes he's not exactly shone I'll give you that, IMO he was ok in first game, little quiet after his header but then the Polish team in general seemed to slip away as the game went on. The team he is playing isn't exactly full of world beaters.Not easy to shine if you don't have the quality around you and your playing against capable international teams.
