Did a random sketch for the family and they doubled up (even accepting they were on my side). Quite surprised really. Never thought any more of it but have been getting a bit restless lately. Probably too old and untrained to do the stage work myself but wouldn't mind having a bash at scripts for others.

Can i see the sketch?
Daggers Posted 23 May 2006 Posted 23 May 2006 There's only one surefire way to do this - you have to map out your scetches and start submitting them to radio and tv. If you go to the BBC webste there is loads of advice on how to do this. Also, watch out for competitions on C4/BBC radio as they hunt for new talent. Finally, get your entry in quick for Radio 5 as they are hunting for someone with material as part of the World Cup. Unfortunately, one of the best ways of seeing if your materials works on people other than those that fear you flying into a volcanic rage is to do stand-up. Just do a guest slot once...it will give you a whole new perspective on comedy. Hope you have sucess.
