Goals (not) scored away from home - interesting stat...

Recommended Posts

Just looking at the league table...

Only Ipswich and Bristol City have scored fewer goals than us away from home. Extraordinary!

That is despite us.....

- Having conceded 5 fewer away goals than any other team (10 fewer than Cardiff)

- Still having the best goal difference in the division, overall (and only Cardiff, Watford & Brighton have a better goal difference away from home!)

The inability to score in away games could cost us very dear at this rate...

Formation? Attitude? Finishing?

Thoughts? Explanations?

NP is extremely careful away from home, we lack the confidence and desire to score away from home.

As was stated when he rejoined us... NP will give you a good defence, hes done that. But this is done often at the expense of an attacking and threatening midfield.

Therefore, less conceded- less scored.

or total bollocks... i just dont fking know anymore.

I really didn't think that we'd be like that on the road this season. Especially having seen the positive, attacking performances against Charlton and Blackburn. But we ultimately didn't manage to get the points that we deserved, there were many fans out there who seemed less than happy and lacked the required patience to stick with it and to a large extent, we've suffered for it.
