Tomassi Posted 25 July 2005 Posted 25 July 2005 The Fosse Boys almost managed a draw against a team in a higher division. Knighton Dynamo rushed into a 4-0 lead after just 25 minutes, with 3rd choice goalkeeper and a makeshift defence unable to cope with the Dynamo strikeforce. Fosse pulled back a goal from a terrific free kick by the club captain. However, an unfortunate incident where some TWATS smashed one of the players car windows which caused an early end to the first half. The second half was a totally different story however, with the defence gelling somewhat and Fosse found a massive energy burst going forward! A delightful lob from our very own Sam Cobley (Cobbo) made it 4-2, then our top scorer from last season bagged a third with just 10 minutes to go. Missed chances cost the Fosse a deserved draw, but this bodes well for next season
Katy Posted 25 July 2005 Posted 25 July 2005 Yes indeed Tom, quality goal from Mr Cobbo any chance of sharing the pics Holly took, with the nation?

shack Posted 26 July 2005 Posted 26 July 2005 So, did you catch the car window smasher? 3rd choice keeper? - where's the other 2?
Cobbo Posted 26 July 2005 Posted 26 July 2005 So, did you catch the car window smasher?3rd choice keeper? - where's the other 2? 144229 One in Turkey, one injured and there's one other emergency keeper we have signed too, but he will only play in competative games due to his family and he broke his thumbs a while ago, not the best iunjury for a keeper! Tom H is actually our 4th choice keeper but he did himself proud
Cobbo Posted 26 July 2005 Posted 26 July 2005 Does Tom Hoeger and Wiiglez play!? 144260 Tom H aka Shrek is the 4th choice keeper but prefers to play on pitch and Martin the 3rd, but a good winger.
Tomassi Posted 26 July 2005 Author Posted 26 July 2005 Does Tom Hoeger and Wiiglez play!? 144260 yep thats right!! hoegger was in goal on sunday, martin is currently out injured with a broken toe (nail)
Katy Posted 26 July 2005 Posted 26 July 2005 ...and the window smasher? 144527 Scarpered empty handed with hopefully aload of glass shards stuck in their hand.
Durnerz Posted 26 July 2005 Posted 26 July 2005 In other news Morrison's thrash Coalville Loughborough Morrisons beat Coalvilles store 5-1 in a superb exhibition of fast flowing football. Chris Durning got the ball rolling when his shout for a penalty was given for handball by the Coalville centre half. Durning cooly slotted the ball to the keepers right leaving him motionless and Loughborough a goal up. However despite some superb one touch football and long range passes Loughboroughs centre half was caught out of position and the fat full back skinned. 1-1. Loughborough came out all guns blazing at the start of the second half, quick thinking from Durning put his strike partner in for 2-1 and 2-1 became 3-1 as Loughborough introduced 2 Subs both of whom scored. Loughborough will now take on Leicesters store later in August with a possible rematch with Coalville still on the cards.
