mr potatohead Posted 27 July 2005 Posted 27 July 2005 Preseason friendlies James has not had a look in , he has been involved in two pre season Reserve team friendlies as sub getting 20-25 mins in each. He has been played on the right wing for most of that time . Ogrady does not look like a goal scorer to me, Dodds and Graham were prolific season before last and Graham got 3 in two appearances vs W Ham and Southampton on his comeback.I say give the lad a chance.

He certainly know's where the net is, his realistic target is to establish himself in the reserves alongside his mate Dodds. Both lethal at youth level, now they need to make the next step.

mr potatohead Posted 28 July 2005 Author Posted 28 July 2005 James played 60 Minutes on Right Hand side Midfield last 30 up front .To be fair did not do a lot but at least in the last 30 he held the ball up and inroduced others to the game.The reserves were poor using the long ball to O'grady, reminded me a lot of a MA team , Hoof and chase!!.
