Zola resigns

It's easy to say 'only Vydra' but did he not win golden boot/player of the season?

Vydra being replaced by Acuna (correct me if I'm wrong, and I've hardly heard his name mentioned) and Abdi/Chalobah being replaced by the disappointing McEachran and over-rated McGugan was never going to end well.

You're quite right, he didn't win player of the season but he was our joint top scorer, it's always going to be immensely difficult replacing a player of that calibre whoever you are and however you're run. We did seem to want to replace him with Acuna, who had all the signs that he could come in and fill the void, but for whatever reason it hasn't worked and he hasn't really been given a run of games either.

Abdi hasn't been replaced, he's still here just injured, I think McGugan was really brought in as a squad player but Abdi's injury has led to him being a main starter, he's been ok, no where near as good as Abdi and has scored a few goals but too easily lets the game pass him by, as a squad player he was ok business on a free transfer I suppose, no one was to know Abdi would get this phantom foot injury.

McEachran is shit. I get the feeling we wouldn't stump up what Chelsea did for Chalobah (more fool Forest..) so they said we could have McEachran instead, but he's shit, really really ****ing shit. We've got George Thorne from WBA now who's a bit better, still not as good as Chalobah was last season but again, he let games pass him by himself, when he was at his best he's probably also immensely difficult to replace just like Vydra, which as I say, is a problem for any club however you're run.

The issues we've got this season aren't really down to the way we're run and the methods they choose to use, things haven't really gone well for us and I can appreciate other club's fans will have no sympathy for that because of our ownership, regardless of it's relevance.

Also, MC Prussian, no offence (I can't be bothered to argue about it either) - you knew as much as we all did about Sannino before he joined, you can't just look at his wikipedia page and make assumptions on that, it'll more than likely be misleading and you can take what you want from it with your own presumptions. All I'm going to judge him on is yesterday going forward.

Whilst it must be annoying to have a particular set of fans acting like twats, raving on about something or gloating about something else, you can't blame our vegetables for getting excited when there's a hint of promotion and good football to boot, Watford playing the ball on the floor was unheard of before 2012, let alone successfully.

Hopefully from now on, we can keep trimming our squad by getting rid of deadwood, work with the squad we've got plus some choice additions in particular positions if needed and continue the good work off the pitch with our academy and ground.

PS - well done for beating the spastics yesterday, good stuff.
