lol

* Awaits Watford fans. Or have they stopped all that now?

I think it's safe to assume they wont come on here shouting the odds given we're third and their currently wank.

Just because he's failed at Chelsea and Spurs it doesn't mean he's beneath Watford. It's that sort of arrogance we should be attempting to move away from. I'm sure he'd have to win the fans over first and prove that he's the right man for the job but I'd have faith in him to do that.

He deserves another shot at managing a big club.

lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol

I actually can't believe it.

"Beneath Watford"?

I would be surprised if AVB had ever heard of Watford, he's far too dignified to end up at that dump. What a bunch of chumps, I can't believe how delusional their fans are as a collective. They'll be lucky if they get Keith Curle, but seem to think they're worthy of Sir Alex

I honestly wouldn't want us to. Pearson certainly wouldn't go for it either lol

I know I wouldnt want too,

But if our owners owned united, or ac milan, or inter, or anyone, im sure we would take a few cheeky loans ;)

I definitely would. if it's at your disposal, use it I say.

Unfortunately, he done worse than he should, he should of been promoted automatically with the squad he had first time round!!

Who the hell is the guy coming in.

Doesn't spend more than a season at any club by the looks of it, and he's had about 10.

Such an unknown appointment is going to put pressure on the Pozzos.

Bit of the "well we know of him so give him a job" situation maybe?

Just have to see how it goes..

We won't be doing anything if Abdi doesn't get fit and we have a few players prepared to get stuck in or have a shot.

Watford team got found out, didn't replace Vydra and now Zola has paid the price.

1 win in 9, no home wins (or goals?) in 5 matches. Couldn't really see it getting any better for them and gives the new manager the January transfer window to work with.

I don't think it's as much not replacing Vydra's goals as really struggling without Almen Abdi due to injury, he's the don for them.

He's had 16 jobs in 17 years.

Already been appointed, done shit and got sacked this season too. This could be funny.

Seems like the Italian Michael Appleton.

The blokes on that forum are crackers.

AVB? lol

I fail to believe they're all on the wind up.

What a surprise, a no-mark foreign journeyman gets the nod.

They'll get some total unheard of. I can say that with confidence.

Watford fans hate Holloway than a lot more of our fans do.

Just said that to Watford fan I talk to on twitter. Some unheard of Italian coach I imagine.

We both called this on Monday lol

I genuinely wouldn't mind having a couple of quid on Watford being relegated.

I wouldn't fancy appointing a coach with no knowledge of English football if he had a good record, let alone one like Sannino's. The club have started a real downward spiral, hilariously started by ourselves, and look awful without Abdi and Vydra.

Whatever the outcome of this, it's difficult to see them getting anywhere near the play-offs.

I get that you all think we're nobs for the way some of our fans acted recently, and obviously for the way we're run.

Try and keep some objectivity, some of the posts in this forum are cringeworthy - as are a lot of the posts on ours.

Yes, most of the posts on our forum in regards to managers are wind ups, no we don't really believe we can hire half of the people mentioned, most are joking, most are just plucking hilarious selections from betting markets. If you want to find some real Watford dribblers, you're better off scouring twitter.

Also, I get the feeling that most accepted Zola's time was up, but gutted he left because if there was anyone we'd want to be successful under it was him, but that just wasn't to be.

Regarding the new guy, you all mentioned about his various clubs etc, you shouldn't base his ability because he got sacked from his last job, you'd rule out 3/4 of football if you did that. Palermo again not fair to base him on, he was one of various managers to be sacked and hired twice within a season. You probably won't care, but James Horncastle has said he's got a very good record in Serie B and below, did well with Siena replacing a certain Conte in Serie A, but hasn't quite repeated it since. We're all quite sceptical about how he'll do, especially as his English is lacking to say the least but it's done, so might as well get behind it.

Last thing, I wouldn't write us off, I'm not saying we'll probably go on a winning streak and win the league whilst not conceding goals and finding a world cancer cure in the process, I mean that we're still fairly close to the chasing pack and if this guy can kick the idiots in our squad causing divides up the arse and get us back to winning games, which is entirely possible as we do have a large squad.

PS - to the person who said we've not had as good players as last season, the only player we don't have that we had from Udinese last year is Vydra, the rest of the squad is the same plus a few additions. There isn't one other first teamer who'd come from a Pozzo club that we don't have this season.

I think us, you (and Palace where we're concerned) need to get on with things a bit, obsessions with eachother is mildly disturbing.

Sannino has been with more than a dozen clubs up to this point, half of which were no-names somewhere in the Italian league system desert (Serie C, Serie D). He has failed to show either commitment or desire to succeed at any place, bar his second spell Varese, where he lasted three years.

Depth in squad can't buy you success - just look at our roster.

On a sidenote, we're hardly "obsessed" with you, most of us are simply sniggering at the fact that you're now back to where you belong. In the doldrums of the Championship's mid-table. Or even lower than that.

We're laughing at the news your club is producing because it reminds us of how farcical and what a circus we were when we had tons of talent wearing our kit some two years ago.

It's simple Schadenfreude, derived from the fact that some of your fans got caught up in a frenzy in past months, when faced with the possibility of returning to the Premier League.

The same delusion of grandeur some of our fans displayed when we threw millions of £££ around in order to "buy" success.

We all know how it ended and it makes us more the wiser.

lol aye. I'm surprised anyone thought otherwise. Their owners have shown little/no interest in anything that doesn't have a link to Italy or Udinese/Granada.

It's easy to say 'only Vydra' but did he not win golden boot/player of the season?

Vydra being replaced by Acuna (correct me if I'm wrong, and I've hardly heard his name mentioned) and Abdi/Chalobah being replaced by the disappointing McEachran and over-rated McGugan was never going to end well.

Posted

Acuna  might be on his way back to Italy - certainly haven't seen much of him either!

The best thing the Pozzos are doing is getting a new east stand built.

I think we have to look at Nani for the transfer activity - not been as good this summer signings wise have to admit.

McGugan is exactly as the Forest fans told us - good in spells but lazy.
