Saigon Fox Posted 25 December 2013 Posted 25 December 2013 Dear All, My son and I have flown in from Saigon and Cairo respectively and would love to go to tomorrow's game. Unfortunately we didn't realise it would be nigh on impossible to get from the Chesterfield/Mansfield/Alfreton region to Leicester via public transport. So, could anyone please give us a lift to Leicester tomorrow? We'd be really grateful and fish and chips/beer/pie would be on us! Merry Christmas!
burni Posted 25 December 2013 Posted 25 December 2013 whilst i cant be much help with the lift i hope this may be your solution: http://www.travelineeastmidlands.co.uk/em/XSLT_TRIP_REQUEST2 coaches look to be running regularly from chesterfield to leicester
dynamark Posted 25 December 2013 Posted 25 December 2013 I hope you make it.To be fair its about 50 miles no more than an hour.If you can manage Saigon and Cairo Leicester shouldn't be too difficult. ask a mate to drive and give him/her a day out ?
Saigon Fox Posted 25 December 2013 Author Posted 25 December 2013 I don't have any mates! :-) Thanks Burni, I'll take a look.
Haydos Posted 25 December 2013 Posted 25 December 2013 I don't have any mates! :-) Thanks Burni, I'll take a look. Trains run from Sheffield to Leicester and go through Chesterfield I believe.
NewburyFox Posted 25 December 2013 Posted 25 December 2013 Taxi? Would be very expensive but if your heart is set on going to the game then you may consider it worth it.

Deucalion Posted 25 December 2013 Posted 25 December 2013 Tickets booked - coach from Chesterfield booked - YES!!! COYB!! I'm really glad you found a way to get to the game.
Saigon Fox Posted 25 December 2013 Author Posted 25 December 2013 Cheers Deucalion. I live apart from my family at the moment, so it is really important for me to share the game with my son! Can't wait...
