Guest Bilo Posted 25 December 2013 Posted 25 December 2013 It's hard to imagine players rolling up two days in succession nowadays, especially Christmas Day and Boxing Day. It's a bit of a shame that Boxing Day fixtures aren't really the event they once were as well, I remember some cracking fixtures at Filbert Street back in the day.
Fox92 Posted 25 December 2013 Posted 25 December 2013 Still think boxing day should be reserved for local games.
The Doctor Posted 25 December 2013 Posted 25 December 2013 Still think boxing day should be reserved for local games. Not really possible though is it - think 3 years back to before the demise of Plymouth - who the **** was remotely local to them?
Fox92 Posted 25 December 2013 Posted 25 December 2013 Not really possible though is it - think 3 years back to before the demise of Plymouth - who the **** was remotely local to them? Yeah, true. But I always think try and get them as close as possible so fans arn't travelling as far, especially if the weather is poor (although we usually get it bad around Jan/Feb time). Not sure if it would work though because of teams who have no clubs that close to them in the same division ie Ipswich.
