There is that. Would be good for this season, while we're doing well the away fans could laugh all they want, we'd laugh at the end of the game after they'd received a hammering.

I reckon some found a box of them , around 500 I hear, so that started to prompt them on here to sell them to 25 year olds wanting a touch of nostalgia, when that idea flopped they started to give them away with twinning pins

I just joined the forum to post on this subject! Sad man!

The post horn gallop is essential and being played live at the start must continue!! no one should question that. It is 100% tradition for LCFC no matter if the posh do it too.

 

BUT

Then we really must revive WYS, it has been around for so long and is at the core of the fan base, not a generic please the masses tune or a never sung 1974 team recording or other naff song.

 

The Frank Sinatra version is good but we need a clear vocal tune with the words at the right pace.

Not all that many years ago when we had a proper kop at Filbert Street the singing of this song was always good, with the added echo lines of 'Whole world smiles with yooooouuuuu' and hands waving in the air.

 

Englebert would be good BUT do we not know an X-Factor winner who would give her right arm to sing the song the right way for the fans??? and be part of LCFC legacy?

Almost exactly what I wanted to say. Could not really have written this any better. We must keep the Post Horn Gallop and should do everything we can to revive WYS.

The post horn gallop isn't going anywhere. They tried a few years back and there was nearly a riot so it was quickly reinstated, I think this is were the new jazzed up version sprung from followed by doing it live before the game.
