Some people I know have been involved in this:

Local writer, local actor, local theatre, etc

Saying it is looking quite good, two shows tonight and Wednesday, thought I would throw it out there see if anyone on here might be interested.

One man show about the closing moments of the first world war.

Thought people could use this thread to post other things of interest going on in and around Leicester in here.

Hello Foxes fans,

I really need your help - but as I'm new, can't start a new topic.

I'm having my stag do at Leicester Races in June.  That night is England vs Italy (World Cup).

Are there any bars in the centre with big screens that would allow a stag party of around 20 in?*

* if so - what would their views be if we were dressed as football legends?

Any help would be massively appreciated.

Probably the wrong thread for this, try the Questions thread:

More likely to get more responses.

One or two things coming up. From memory.

5th-8th The Pub beer Festival

5th-8th Loughborough Beer Festival1

12th-18th Leicester beer Festival

16th-19th Salmon Beer Festival

and there may be something happening somewhere not involving beer.

Recognise a name on that poster :o

Always wondered about shows at this venue, might go to it

Did you go? Which name do you recognise? Went last night was very good part of a double bill of WW1 plays, tonight is one about Vesta Tilley, then they are repeated again Wednesday and Thursday. Nice little theatre upstairs at the Western, and a really professional set up, great set and lighting effects there was an old fella with his harmonica playing war time tunes in the bar beforehand. A few nice beers on tap too.
