Grewks Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 Ridiculous. At 2-0 yesterday the movement of our side was stupidly good, i'd even say world class. There was runners everywhere, the barnsley players hadn't a clue, they literally looked lost. In fact so much, Dawson literally threw his hands up in the air before our 3rd. Knocky was constantly picking the ball up from a defensive midfield position, mahrez was always making runs in between the midfield and defence sitting in the hole, Every single bouncing ball fell to drinky and it wasn't a coincidence, and James kept appearing on the left wing running past defenders and 3 nutmegs in a row. The way we played was not a traditional 4-4-2 at all. Without the ball it was a 4-2-3-1 with knocky and mahrez controlling their wide men far better than their full backs were ours, their defending was ridiculously good. With the ball you couldn't tell the formation, no-one stood still long enough. Barnsley players were stunned, as were their fans. The way we were so attacking, had so much creativity, pace and movement yet so so solid at the back was crazy. Yesterday no side in the league would have lived with us, and never before have i seen such a 'continental' style of football played by our lads. So often in the past, even at times this season we have played some decent stuff but i have often seen the technique lacking. Yesterday was different class, just cannot believe the style we play. It was the best stuff i have even seen from us. The difference between us and them was far far greater than that of man city and us earlier in the season. Just Ridiculous!

lcfc1994 Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 We embarrassed Barnsley with how good we were, they just couldn't keep up with every decision our boys made, each pass, run, turn, they were just one step behind all game. We seem to improve every aspect of our game every time we play, there is just no letting up.

Our team is, ironically, a great example of how avoiding bringing in big names/egos and being shrewd and signing young hungry players, can get you out of this league..

G, Thank you for this glowing critique. It does raise the level of confidence and excitement of what is to be a premier League team that we all follow. Leicester fans have been starved for years for a team like this to follow. Not only has this team and NP got us to within site of the PL but he has built without huge expense the foundation to a team that will compete to stay up for years to come. Fans do not need to dream of a team like any more it is here. No more debates on what we need, what is going wrong who should coach how much we should spend. Hopefully it becomes a little boring with a winning team that we can all stand back and applaud. All those so called fans who think they should be manager and know more than the owners, will be the only people dissapointed in you great post. Well done sir. It feels really good to be a LCFC fan.

Dan Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 Our energy and fitness levels are absolutely frightening. I agree it's the best football I've ever seen from Leicester. I know we're hardly facing great sides recently but we're literally turning up and declaring at 3-0 with a good 25/30 mins left now. It's amazing.
