Try and live where most people will be living, choose the place where you'll be sharing with as many as possible. You will not regret it, unless you're a boring hermit type.

The first year of Uni is all a laugh and about meeting people, having fun and generally socialising.

All you need to take are...

Clothes

PC

Musak

Films

Food (for the first week but I'd buy some down there on the first day if I was you - and get your mum or dad to pay for it ;)

Beer :D

Your personal belongings, documentation, the bits of paper work etc.

There's not that much to it really :)

Buy yourself a plate or two, a set of knives n forks n all that crap..

If you're sharing a kitchen with 10 or so people, I'd watch out for people nicking your food. Bastards!

Are you staying in halls or in a shared house?

on that note it would be a good idea to attend freshers fair because there will be loads of societies that you will probably be interested in. There has to be at least one anyway :)

The only one I signed up to was the MGS soc. Multiplayer Gaming Society... and the lans were great :)

Another tip: while you're living in halls you'll probably have super fast broadband internet (well they did at Warwick), so make the most of it by downloading all the films/tv series you can.
