Howard99 Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 I get the ones that were completely out of contract. But the ones that weren't - tell them if we stay up this season then they will be rewarded. What incentive is there for them signing 4 year deals. They probably get less per week if we go down but that isn't enough in my opinion.
Mark_w Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Yes, they earned them. But it's not like we weren't sensible about it, we haven't given players who are getting on long contracts, which is why Lloyd isn't here. We handled the situation fairly well I think. If you think they're happy to go down because they've got nice long contracts, then I think you're wrong. They're not doing great at the moment, but I think it's pretty clear that actually the majority of our players are very ambitious and want to help the club move forward.
Charl91 Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 I think they did earn it, to be fair. I don't think a lack of effort is the problem, either.
