FoxesAreBlue Posted 16 December 2014 Author Posted 16 December 2014 Well said Finnegan. Mercedes F1 are based in Brackley I believe, McLaren in Woking and Red Bull in MK.
Guest MattP Posted 17 December 2014 Posted 17 December 2014 Hamilton is a big part of a motorsports industry that provides shitloads of British jobs and must pump millions in to British engineering. Mercedes are UK based aren't they? Mclaren are, Red Bull are, most teams are based here. Telling me that doesn't contribute to our economy and to those local communities in Northamptonshire etc? What's the point of "making it" in life if you can't choose where you live? If I had millions, I'd **** off to Hong Kong or Fukuoka in a heartbeat. It's bollocks here. I like the British, generally, I'm not patriotic but nor am I self loathing. But the weather here is shit, I'm bored of our food, I'm bored of our architecture, our kids are all awful and we've got Simon ****ing Cowell. More than happy to emigrate. Fair play, Lewis. Well said Finners, I'd be off as well if I could, I think the only thing I would miss about Britain is the Countryside, the National Hunt, Cricket and LCFC. Japan is starting to look a more attractive proposal to Westerners every day. As for Lewis, he's a hypocrite, who isn't. The man who the SPOTY 'Man of the Century' was Muhammed Ali - Hypocrites didn't come much bigger than him. He preached sexual abstinance while engaging in multiple affairs, he tried to preach respect for his opponents whilst calling Joe Frazier a Gorilla and he tried to talk about bringing the human race together while hanging around with NOI sorts and throwing his weight behind racial seperation. His hypocrisy makes him even more perfect for the award.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 17 December 2014 Posted 17 December 2014 There's only about three I think that are based oversees, where he lives seems pretty irrelevant considering he's probably only there for the off season.
