foxoffderby Posted 15 January 2015 Posted 15 January 2015 If you look at some of the individuals in the Brian Little era, they were fairly bang average but it was more about the sum of the parts. BL transformed us after the miserable Pleat years and effectively put in the early building blocks for MON. Ormondroyd is one of life's great blokes; in fact there were a lot of top lads about in the BL era. Really enjoyed that 91-94 time. The era I really got into City. The team was more important than any one individual. According to wiki he scored 7 goals in 77games for us,as I thought useless. Little liked to play 523 formation. Sticks was often played in a wide role of the 3 with Phill Gee Bobby Davison or Kitson. Sticks was there to cause distraction to the defenders and flick ons. It worked.
AdamN Posted 15 January 2015 Posted 15 January 2015 Just as an aside, is there any archive on the web that has high quality photos like the ones in the article? Always find it difficult to find decent ones from that sort of era.
