Heinz

Do Coventry have a popular forum?? :dunno:lol

Not too sure to be honest, I don't go searching for message boards of opposition teams or anything. Don't read too many football forums on the net either.

Maybe if they do and the story is on there, you could link me to it?

Bad news...

Initial favourite Gary McAllister does not now appear to be in the running and although Iain Dowie remains popular in polls to find out who the fans want his name also seems to have dropped out of the frame.

Square football.

Sadly, the Dowie to Leicester rumour has resurfaced again, it's in the tabloids again. It won't go away and I'm beginning to think it'll happen.

I weep. :(

Because he's shit? :dunno:

His only decent season as manager was when he turned around Palace from relegation dogs to promotion puppies - only just at that. It wasn't even a full season!

He was in charge for little over half a season when he did that - took over in December.

I concede that was special - to go from 19th to 6th and into the Premiership in half a season took some doing.

What he's done since has been less than spectacular. His second season in this league, he took them to 6th place again... with a mere two points more than he earned before - ie. when he was in charge for half a season. 75 points against the previous campaign's 73. Hardly the brilliant form he inspired two seasons before.

I mean... if with a full season he could only earn two additional points, he obviously wasn't all that effective second time out. Obviously, the first attempt was a sensational run of wins - it had to be to take them 13 places higher and into the top division. No such run second time out.

He's still riding on the crest of a wave that formed when he took over at Palace 4 seasons ago.
