Also Martin Keown ONLY came to Leicester because he thought Mickeh wasnt long for the job and was wanting to be our next manager! AND he apparently is a trouble maker and tries to tell CL who to put in the side (dont know how true that bit is - cant see CL letting him get away with that!) Its probably all a load of rollocks but the chap seemed to be very knowledgable.

Guest Posted 3 January 2005 Posted 3 January 2005 Keown has played at the highest level, and has a lot of experience he perhaps wishes to impart. He is also supposedly an intelligent and eloquent guy, and I wouldn't be surprised if he was making suggestions regarding the team selection etc. It depends on how he puts it across, and how confident the manager is. A manager with little confidence could see this as undermining him, whereas others might be thankful for the advice. Who knows??
