Levein resorts to Rovers reject

Jay Bothroyd is negotiating a deal with Leicester after Mark Hughes looks to offload the much travelled striker. He is set to train with Leicester when they return for pre season training after he made a phone call to Rob Kelly who was the first team coach at Blackburn.

Talks are progressing. Bothroyd is eager to join as he still has a house in the Midlands and sees Leicester as the ideal club to resurrect his faltering career.

This is almost certain to happen. I for one think he could do a job but would only take him on a short term contract.

Yes! :D I think Bothroyd would be a quality signing. He could deffinatly do the business in The Championship, but I am unsure if this remour is true.

He has quality it is just if his attitude is right. He kicked that player when he was playing for Blackburn last year so he will have to change that. If Levien gets him doing the job could be a great asset. Are you sure about this though?

I would take him but I think this is bullshit.

"Mark Hughes looks to offload the much travelled striker", but isn't he on loan? He joined on loan with a view to a permanent move. Hughes has decided not to keep him so therefore wouldn't need to look to "offload him". Hmmmm, I think whoever makes up this rubbish needs to do some research first....

Oh yeah - where's your source? Let me guess - your mate's cousin's girlfriend's uncle is Craig Levein?

I actually heard aswell that we were interested in a striker who has had experience abroad so it could well be him.

This comes on the same day that my mate said we are supposed to be after him as his mates cousins girlfriends uncle is Craig Levein :o:):P

he is really really good mates with Jordan so he would probably come here. But he is an arrogant, moody nut case and he will cause problems. An awesome talent though and could get us 25+ goals a season. hIm and Connolly in the same dressing room would cause problems as they are vying for places. I would take him but it is a big BIG risk, he could cause us a lot of problems, but he could get us promoted, I hope you are not bull shitting.

Oh god, two tits in the squad! Despite this I'd still take him, but it would be good if we had a tough senior player along with Dubbers to keep them in line, someone like De Zeeuw (not suggesting we get him) wouldn't stand for their sh*t :)

We don't want to breed bullying in the team and I fear they'd be be the Frank Stones to the Clyde Connelly's!

Another typical school boy rumour.
