Do I need to labour this point anymore before everyone agrees?

OK I'm going to try and understand the logic with leaving men forward for a counter attack. People are saying that despite the lack of height in our team and despite the fact that Schmeichels biggest weakness is commanding his box at corners and despite the fact that a goal saved on the line is just as good as scoring a goal we are better off taking the chance of a counter attack? No way am I having that it's complete madness. I bet against 90% of teams in this league with the personnel we have at present (that's without the height of Ulloa and Inler) we are more likely to concede from a corner than to score from a possible counter attack. Does anyone disagree with that statement?

Yep....but according to some peoples logic he should not have been there as he's a central midfielder...should have been preparing for a counter attack. That logic is fundamentally flawed by the fact we don't score from all our attacks but teams will score loads of goals against us with no men on the posts....its football suicide end of

Contrary to what I said it was a choice....a bad choice which gifted them a 2 goal lead....might as well have scored goals for them?!??

Second wasca clear offside so theoretically we should have won 2-1 but with men on the posts at corners we would have won 2-0......you don't try and reinvent the wheel I'm afraid it's obligatory not a choice

2 goals conceded at the far post. Did anyone else think it was football suicide not to have men on the posts...first goal would have been cleared on the line!! And then second goal we did it again.....men on posts is surely simple stuff and Southampton never looked like conceding from a set piece or corner winning every ball.
