  1. Even if it does hit his hand - it’s in that position because he’s jostling with the Celtic player. He’s not moved his hand towards the ball or gained any advantage from it as the trajectory hasn’t changed.

Its not much different to when a ball is hit against a hand when the player can’t don anything about it.

    Very on brand for you

Thing of the past now thankfully, did go through a rotten spell.

Getting into the Allianz early-ish fir the 1860 game after being on the train from Bochum was blissful though

  3. Missed Vardy's goal at Bramall lane, must have had 7 pints pre-match and had to have a shit in what looked like a Paesschendale khaki.

I was ill for the Rennes H game, not the single greatest night but still a shame to have missed it.

Oh, wait - missed BOTH goals at Spurs in 24/25, not normally one to go for a pint at HT but I was so dispirited and convinced we wouldn't score, was trudging up the stairs as the first went in only to realise we'd scored again

  4. People with footballing IQ (as much as I dislike the phrase,) particularly foreigners, will see through blusterers like Coady straight away. Intangible 'leadership' bullshit means nothing if you're a poor footballer. Coady is terrible in the air, positionally weak and his supposed passing ability was never seen either. Really not surprising he didn't play much.

Which part of my post was untrue? The club is very tight-lipped—only two or three journalists ever get scoops on us, which is probably less than most clubs.

I regard the club as a shambolic mess that has been mismanaged to a degree never previously witnessed in football. But the lack of idle media gossip about our new manager and the fact that—like most clubs—we haven’t published our retained list yet do not provide further evidence of this. And we don’t exactly need any further evidence, anyway…

I didn't intimate you were saying untrue things.

Nothing comes out, not because the process is watertight and the modus operandi is shrouded in secrecy but because there's nothing to report or leak, they dither, dally, procrastinate. If they were active leaks would happen, because there's two or even three parried involved and gossip seeps through those others too.

I don’t think any club issues regular updates on their manager searches until they’ve actually got some news. Remaining silent until an appointment is made is the norm.

A handful of clubs have already published their retained lists but the large majority haven’t. We never publish this early. Last year we published ours on 28 May; in 2024, it was 10 June.

We’re all impatient to get last season’s absolute shit show out of our system and move on, hence the desperation for any news that indicates the club is moving forward. But the ‘radio silence’ from the club is not particularly strange—it’s standard procedure at this time of year.

It’s not the lack of info coming out of the club themselves but through journalists and leaks.

I used to think we get nothing because they’re tight lipped and secretive, now I think it’s because nothing is actually going on.

I don’t mean to be personal but you’ve always been quite deferential to the club despite plummeting through the leagues

Let's assume we sell to Man U it'll cost us more to loan him back for 1 season from them than they bought him for no?

Loan fees are usually nominal - we won’t be selling him for any less than say, £2m (likely much more)

A loan fee will be more than we get for him, i thought we wanted the board to make good decisions going forward?

I’ve read this three times and still don’t understand what you mean

  9. Selling Monga and loaning him back might be possible. He's 17 over the summer and starting 10-20 games in L1 will be good for him, the new club and us as we'll need the depth

  10. Cifuentes benefitted from a side with reasonable morale too, we started off fine but the insipid performances started on his watch.

If he was a good coach and not an anachronistic hyper-short passing merchant we’d have stayed up easily. Even if he could manage a game whilst leading we’d comfortably have stayed up.

Wrexham, Portsmouth, Boro H plus Bristol City and Cov A were abysmal, it’s like he tie them to concede at half time. Fat clown

But what if the club knows who it wants but is not in a position to appoint them until after the play-off situation has been resolved or the new financial year has begun?

Is there any evidence over the past 2 years they have any idea what they’re doing? Do they ever learn from mistakes?

We’re going into League because they’re clueless, the inaction is because they’re clueless, there is no Machiavellian plan as to why nothing is happening. Nothing is happening because they’re sclerotic and useless.

The thing is half of it is brought on themselves.

Word goes around Feb/March that the club have organised nothing for the players in a celebration.

Club think hold up we’ve got to do something here. By the time, it’s finally confirmed it’s in the midst of a relegation battle and most just want time off from the club.

If they’d announced March, they’d have at least 15k sales in my opinion.

It’s just incredibly poor organisation and marketing. I’m feeling sorry for the players who’ve been part of the organisation and someone like Ranieri coming over.

And offer some sort of early bird deal to insure against rubbish numbers if we were relegated

These big clubs have much better youth development and loan networks than us

No reason why they can't go to a club like Man City or Man Utd and end up on loan somewhere in the Championship

We’ve produced some really good players over the past 10 years, possibly in the top 6 most productive academies, certainly in the top 10.

I just can fathom the best loan opportunities we get are in Scotland and relegation threatened L1 and L2 teams.

Logan Briggs is obviously in the running for PL2 POTS, I’m certain League 1 clubs would have been interested but you hear murmurs about the club turning loans down all the time.

Had a load in the Blue Boar after the Tigers game yesterday. You’re guaranteed the freshest of cask ale in there post game, after Friday night, and the pre game rush. Every beer was delicious

Always stinks in the BB imo
