I was stood at the bar of the King’s Head earlier next to some Brummie tigers fans and it was slightly stomach churning, not just because they liked rugby

It's just corporate 'bantz'. A transparent attempt to capitalise on a cultural phenomenon.
Even the image itself is packaging and selling Vardy. It's a crass, comercialised, and cynical attempt at appealing to the Gen Z crowd and selling them their own emotional sentiment.
'Hahahah look it's that ChatGPT challenge but with Vardy. It's SO six months ago but we're post irony aren't we? Hahaha like and subscribe.'
Someone get down there with some emulsion and cover it up. ****ing hell. Can't we crowdsource an actual decent artist to make something worthwhile.
Gen Z would hate this - it’s firmly millennial and above - just say the action figure AI craze was on LinkedIn

It's a good (if expensive) service in general and I know the work must be essential but you're always rolling the dice going down there on a Sat; feels like at least 1 in every 3 weekends is a mess
Really benefits from relatively few stops. The capacity is a bit of a problem but 100 miles in circa an hour is one of the better services in the country.

We ought to have an FT meet up/crawl on the day of the first Saturday 3pm next season

Keeper’s Lodge up at Beaumont Leys Shopping Centre. Another remarkable place
Went to a wake there recently, the interior wasn’t as dingy as expected but the locals were just as I imagined

Ale Wagon and the Castle are the only two I’d frequent if they were in other cities.
I’ve gone off lager almost entirely which whittles down the options to almost nothing in town. Tonne is occasionally fine but more often than not they have 7 near identical craft options

The cluster to the north of the city centre along Humberstone Gate are comfortably the worst
Royal Oak (Belgrave Gt) is bad, nothing redeeming at all rather than outright rough. Shit and tired decor, poor selection and weird atmosphere.
Skandals - wtf
Fountain is the best of those but still not great
Hansom Cab is probably much better post refurb and still probably shit
The Hind is rubbish and a big waste of what could be a great pub, Barley Mow wasn't exemplary before but it's absolutely shot now.

-1 in 9 darts, is that good? Doesn't feel like a usual nine-darter!

Me neither but the only solace is it kicks Forest in the bollocks

Sad reality but first midlands club in a european final since villa in 1982. Our region not exactly blessed when comes in to europe.
The region has returned 3 European cups more than probably 98 or 99% of European provinces

Probably try to keep the money of those who’ve already bought tickets too 😂
You can imagine them trying to refund people but less the admin fee

14 assists in his career, remarkably uncreative - Thomas has 6 this season and he’s hardly Marcelo.
I’d be over the moon with £5m, given his record in France we might get close to that.

Bigger clubs than City have had fans protesting against owners/chairmen for years and it hasn’t made the slightest difference. Owners will sell when they wish to.
Let’s just give up then and slide into administration and possibly liquidation. Nothing we can do.

Probably wasn’t that bad but it’s classic Leicester to throw the baby out with the bath water

I suspect Spurs will stay up at West Ham’s expense now but if they went down, they will use them. If they stay up, they will as you say, either be in the fold there or another Championship move, to a club, with all respect to Oxford, is a step up and expected to challenge at the right end.
Donley did L1 last season with Leyton Orient. Lankshear has also done the Championship to an extent he would not drop down to L1.
There’s a lot of unrealistic shouts on this thread to be fair. Ballard, Pierce Charles also. Probably Tolaj as well.
I think any significant fees are unrealistic but we are a huge draw and even an extra 2k p/w for some of these players would be a huge salary increase.
Without sales first it’s just hard to know what our budgets will be like.
Say Ballard for £4m probably isn’t unrealistic if we can offer him £12k per week - we’re probably still a more attractive proposition than Preston

Both look to have quite long contracts so can’t see us affording to buy them. Loan wise, they have already been out to the Championship so it’d be a backwards step to drop back down to L1 for both of them.
Think players like this will be out of reach to be fair.
Spurs won't be letting those go out again, they will be in the fold

I think we have to reappraise the European campaigns of the later King Power years as well, and particularly stop touting making a 'European semi-final' as some kind of achievement.
Looks like we're going to be the only English club to have gone into the Conference League and not won it. Forest have gotten into the semis of the Europa League from 17th in the league and we couldn't get past the first knockout round.
To have gone in with the teams we did and only have a Conference League semi to show for it is a failure. Europe's been a piece of piss for everyone else.
We were joint favs for the Europa too

Association football is the most popular sport for about 6% of the population, the MLS is never going to be massive - especially whilst they insist with franchises w/o promotion and relegation. I say this as somebody fairly MLS curious too.
Assoc. football would become the most popular sport in the US within 25 years if they actually had a proper pyramid, a huge part of the US interest in Wrexham is because it's their first taste of climbing up the divisions. There's millions and millions of people in the US without access to a local professional sorts team (hence the popularity of college football), if they could then follow Austin or Arizona up the ranks they'd become big clubs overnight.

Looks as if they've removed the reference to general sale after the "freinds and family" window today and tomorrow.
The aversion to general sale is really weird at this point.

The last good defensive midfielder we signed was Ndidi in 2017 - we can't neglect the position anymore. We also need physicality, Gibson Yah fits the bill perfectly.
