  1. I love the tagline: .... Come Prepared With what? Have I missed something? Is a melting man an every day phenomenon that we should have experience with and have appropriate training and tools? Personally i'd bring a bucket, a soup ladle and a fish slice (the bigger the better on all counts!)
  2. When i was lookin for costume ideas for an 80's fancy dress party last halloween I came across this: I didnt think the majority would get it, so I went for Johnny in the Karate Kid. It was class. But next time....
  3. I have one signed by RJ Macready! Love it, one of my top 5 films of all time.
  4. Just watched Secretariat. Real good film about a horse in the 70's. I'd recommend it as a good watch on a Sunday night with a hangover. Very uplifting story. 8/10 good to firm
  5. And by the end of this week we look like we'll have signed more players than anyone else.
  6. I expect our odds to come in little bit soon. 6-1 at the moment with the hammers at 11-2 with ladbrokes.
  7. Yeah, was ok. a lot of " Hey wee man... YA FOOKIN KINT!!)
  8. Just watched Neds. It was awesome. Very gritty and at times brutal. Some great performances from first time actors that have probably experienced the social surroundings depicted in the film. 8.5/10 see this jimmy!!!
  9. I thought it started well and went down hill steadly throughout. The ending was very poor and reminded me of an equally badly finished movie - Stephen Kings It. I admire what JJ Abrams tries to do as a director. He idolises Speilberg and the notion of making movies special again. Unfortunately, for me he has yet to really pull it off. It's obvious he has tried to emulate the films that you mention (not a bad idea at all). But there are just too many shortfalls that go with it. my 2 main problems were: 1) Main villain - Totally weak, killed off way too soon. Explain to me how a MAJOR not a colonel, not a general but a MAJOR is solely responsible for this operation. Thats ridiculous. 2) Ramming the social aspect down our throats. Why can't a sci-fi film be just that? Why do we have to have something mirroring real life, regarding the torture of hostages etc? Movies should be escapism not dressed up propaganda. Maybe the alien was a bad egg, maybe he deserved the torture. Don't spoon feed us this malpractice politically correct garbage. so in conclusion - Super 8 = not so super 5/10 * It has all the ingredients, but it tries way too hard.
  10. Just watched Sucker Punch. What a waste of 2hrs. Awful film that relies on SFX and thinks it's really clever. It's not, it's arse. I'll give it 2/10 and that's only because it has a few bits of skirt in it. I watch a lot of film and consider myself to be quite educated. I've not seen such pish in a long time. AVOID. Do something constructive with 2 hrs instead. A colonic would be more enjoyable.
  11. Hangover 2 was very poor IMO I didnt laugh half as much as I did when I watched the first one. It just seemed way too predictable and every gag was telegraphed. 4/10
  12. Yes this is a really fantastic film. The lead performance is phenomonal.
  13. Good Aussie flick called Red Hill.
  14. I'd love to hear a bernie special at tommorrows match: "We ate Nottin gum, We ate Nottin gum, we ate Nottin Gum...." Imagine the whole away support in unison good old bernie
