  1. Picture the scene. Cov to go on a terrible run of form and drop out of the autos, Leicester keep climbing and make the playoffs.

After some semi-finals we're left with an out of form and utterly terrified Coventry up against the mighty Foxes. Wembley is sunny, the Green Man is packed and the beers are flowing. You write the rest of the story...

Neill Danns the time traveller, he didn't sign until summer 2011 brother!

lol fair. 10/11 and 11/12 exist as one long season in my memory. We're 3 nil down at half time against palace with Jack Hobbs trying to do rabonas and pass through the lines and then a few months later Dannzy is promoting the Spitter 2 app and Pearson is headbutting the captain.

You aren't being stupid, Daniel Storey seems to think:
    - Mavididi scored twice against Stoke (he obviously didn't) and...

    - James Justin is the only player to score more than once in a match since the start of 23/24. He isn't – In the Enzo season, Fatawu got his hat trick against Southampton. Vardy got 4 braces. Dewsbury-Hall got 2 braces. Mavididi got 2 braces. Daka got 2 braces. Even bloody Tom Cannon got two goals against Huddersfield on NYD.

It's a really weird passage, absolutely none of it is correct and it's not even close to being so.

He means since Justin's brace against Arsenal last season doesn't he?

Edit - noticed the two and a half years bit. Yeah it's just waffle

  4. This needs to be used as the opportunity to increase the distance between the OBR and HMT and the budget setting process. Completely disgraceful what they've done there and far too often they are the tail wagging the dog.

We should also move to one budget event per year, doing it every six months generates too much short-termism.

The golf is a bit an easy target for the press, what else are they supposed to do after training? They just used to get pissed.

You do nets for all the daylight hours then go in and play Brian Lara Cricket on PS2 until bedtime.

Well, score only 330 odd across 2 innings in a Test in Oz and you'll find that difficult to defend no matter how well you bowl.

One thing that has become obvious is that this one has been decided on one good performance in one innings, so the rest of the series is far from a foregone conclusion.

May I ask why? Speaking personally, I'm OK with them actually having a bit of ego rather than the team that won one Test in 17 before them.

You like to bring this up a lot, but given most of those Tests were against India and Australia, against whom this team also cannot win series, I don't think there's as much difference between the teams as you think. Depends whether one thinks a drawn series is really any better than a loss - when you aren't the holders of a series trophy I'm not sure it is.

They're both shit to middling England teams, one just has fantastic PR.
