YESTERDAY Someone texted me (a not very nice text) at 4am (in reply to my text the night before). (Luckily, I had had the good sense of leaving my phone downstairs, or it would have woken me up!) Around 8pm, another text saying "sorry for the lack of reply, been out and got very drunk last night" (lack of reply?!?!?!) The 4am text has no spelling mistakes and sounds like just any other text this person has ever sent me. Except that it sounds somewhat offensive/condescending. Not sure what to think about this. Should I ignore the 4am text? I find it difficult to, as I cannot imagine someone would imply something they didn't mean (at least in part) when they are drunk. But then I've never been "very drunk"...

Not at the minute. I should update it really...

I like to escape the stereotype at times

Did you put the salt in your coffee by any chance?

Totally agree with you. The other day, my doctor said "the lower, the better". How can that be? If the blood is not under enough pressure, how does it reach every part of the body, including major organs and the farthest capillaries, I don't like my feet and hands to be cold. Even worse... Years ago, I passed out with my eyes wide open after spending half an hour in a hot pool in Rotorua (no one had bothered to ask me about my blood pressure or give instructions as to how to best use those pools). In my teen years, at the beach, I got up to go swimming after 30 minutes of reading while lying down on the sand, only to find out that everything had gone black and all sounds had become much fainter. My sister sat me down in the shade, gave me some water to drink and, 10 minutes later (I didn't dare open my eyes any sooner), I was extremely glad to see that I could actually still see and hadn't gone blind! The lower, the better my a*se!

Sneezing, shivering, feeling a bit dizzy and cold... I am going back to bed (good excuse anyway)

As opposed to wobbly? Currently have a mild temperature elevation (with cracking tendons... weird!) Not enough to do me in, but enough to make me want to go to bed right now

did you start work at 3am or earlier? A 12 midnight to 6am shift would have been good (well, better than usual, in that 1 hour shorter, of course)

Fruit and vegetable smoothie (with various herbs etc) tastes horrendous but I am sure it is good for me

Homemade hummus then dark chocolate (strange mix)

This girl I know gave me a lingering kiss on the cheek. She is always quite friendly, so I didn't think anything of it... until she mentioned that she will introduce me to her girlfriend. (she's gay?!?!?!) She was also repeatedly cuddled by this guy who was obviously very drunk (but still standing on his own... just!). Her sister hugged and held a mate of mine. I had never seen them even talking together before. How many pints had they had?!?!?!

Indeed. Did I mention that my 4 cordless phones are also not working? They cut off after a few seconds, i.e. just after you say "hello".

Facebook statuses are annoying full stop. Anyway, got really hot walking fast in town earlier, dashing from PC World (St Georges Retail park) to Dixons on the High Street (and back). Unfortunately, it was all for nothing, as they did not have any nokias n800 and, in any case, their price was 4 times higher than at PC World! What a way to waste one hour and a half (traffic was bad coming back home, also due to that accident opposite the train station).

* Bill from Orange: £19.57 (last payment) * Bill from T-Mobile £21 for 2 weeks * Bill from vodafone: £35 a month - direct debit set up (got 2 written confirmations, just in case!), until yesterday I switched to a cheaper plan How many months in a year can you be so lucky to get bills for the same mobile phone number from 3 different networks?
-
That should not be allowed Incidentally, I found out something I really HATE about T-Mobile: *** they charge you for calls to voicemail *** shock and horror: even if you are on the most expensive monthly plan ever, say £90 a month, you will STILL have to pay EXTRA to retrieve your voicemails. So much for no hidden charges, eh, T-Mobile?!?!?! T-Mobile claims that I called voicemail 16 times in the 2 weeks I was with them. As I don't have itemised billing (they didnt' tell me I could get it for free if I registered online), I cannot even dispute that, though I don't know what number I need to dial to acces voicemail on T-Mobile... In short, bill for £21 for just 2 weeks during which I made no calls (well, perhaps 2 brief ones), except for those to voicemail, it seems

I am not too sure what the connection between mobiles.co.uk and carphone warehouse is. I only noticed that if you purchase a handset on contract on mobiles.co.uk, you get your cashback (if you get it) from carphone warehouse. This is what made me suspicious...
-
Has anyone purchased anything from mobiles.co.uk (the site somehow linked to carphone warehouse)? Did you have any problems with them? Although they have lots of deals, I am wary to buy through them, as they have not yet replied to my two pre-sales emails sent one and two weeks ago respectively...

Chocolate...

Glad you noticed. Don't think vodafone have yet. (But complaint coming up, if only they answered the call, I would be able to ask them what address it should go to). Seconded

I would not mind giving blood (though I may feel rather dizzy as I have low blood pressure. In fact, not sure they let you give blood if your blood pressure is a bit low). I have read, however, that blood that has been stored for even a few weeks is not "as good" as "fresh blood" so perhaps - as you are encouraging to do - it is very important to have a constant input of new blood, as opposed to getting lots of people donating blood in one go... (as may happen on a "promotion day").

0870 lines that keep you on hold for ages. After 30 minutes or so I still had not spoken to the correct department or even been given the chance to explain why I was calling. PS: Stuff yourselves: I called a free number equivalent (at least you are not getting my money )

Red Nose sketches, of course...
