Like Cooper? How many players league 1 standard can play his football well enough to be effective? How many championship players can play it well? Not many. This is the reason this doesn't make any sense. His stats aren't great over a number of years. Thisan would be a disaster and his football won't work in league 1. We need to be direct robust and that everything Martins 'tactics' are not. Another short sightedness from board. I hoped with McCarron we would have a wider net to look at potential managers, but if we end up with the usual suspects, nothing has/will change, not a single lesson has been learnt from the last 4/5 years. You could say that about a lot of ex players. It's not the right time to experiment. He's clearly not ready, he needs a good manager to learn from in a coach/assistant role before he makes the step up. He clearly said he wasn't ready and this summer he still won't be. We need a proven steady hand to get us out this league. Someone who can rebuild the pathetic 'culture' at the club to reset, King hasn't got the experience to do that. I do want him in some capacity here though as his attitude is spot on.

He should have been sacked along time ago. How can any DoF, or whatever name you want to give, can survive poor signings, poor manager choice once let alone 3 or 4 times?! He is leading the football side, he's accountable for 3 relegations millions wasted on salaries and fees on poor players This club will get it wrong again, and sounds like history is repeating itself again!! We as fans can see the issues why can't anyone else?! This season we can't just go for free and convenient. We can't just wing it and hope for the best. This is a critical time, get it wrong we'll be in league 1 for a long time at best.

Even more in League one. We need to build a team that is robust... mentally and physically. Martin isn't the answer and never will be.
