Yes and no. He doesn't have his badges, and we don't know what he'll be like as a coach. he's 39 nearly 40 so a player he's really past it. We really need to move on now. In terms of character yes, he will be good. But like I say we can't keep looking back. He's left and lets keep those memories. Another season would be too much. If you want him at the club then an embassador role, maybe
-
If thats the case, then Rudkin should have been proactive and like oled for his successor to support Top. Rudkin can be on the phone if he wants to lean on him for emotional support, but for the clubs sake this is what Rudkin should be doing.
-
If we keep going back, we'll never be able to move on.

Last 2 jobs not gone well for him.
-
Reason I said under 32 is because then it's long term, not just for one season.
-
First signing after sorting the manager needs to be the club captain, a proper captain who can lead this club into it's new unwanted chapter. Someone experienced but not over 32 and can set the tone for the rest of the players in the club. We have missed this for years and the one thing that definitely needs to change.

Day after the start of the season.

I bet he was a full kit plonker as well. Wearing the whole kit with binoculars. So not obvious at all

Haha. A guy who had a hand in 2 clubs getting relegated from the league is on to give his wisdom. Brilliant

All hail the Finnegan rant. This is spot on.

Open the news, saw a saggy smug face. Closed the news. Can't stand Farage as a person let alone politically
-
And with Rudkin eating Angel delight from a jug and dribbling it down his tie
-
I think it's funny.

He's just gone to the championship, has his team he built. He'd want a crack at he championship. Not happening
-
Oi! Don't put Ryan McGivern in the same bracket as this loser...he was errrrr Yeah, fair point. Note to the new manager...don't sign blonde full backs.

Brentford isn't the same. andrews was the assistant, he knew the players, knew the club, worked with the same playing style as Thomas Frank and was ingrained. He would have e worked on tactics with the players already. He didn't have a complete rebuild he just carried it on. Yes, it could have gone wrong and yes he's done a good job there, but he had a massive advantage. Fuchs hasn't been a the clubs or years and it's completely different to what he left. Fuchs has been a manager for months in this country. Yes, he's done a good job keeping them up, but just doesn't have the experience we need right now. This isn't a time for experiments, its time to make the right calls and move away from the past. Appointing Fuchs will seem like a crowd pleaser to me not a complete strategy to get us out of this mess. We need an overhaul on recruitment of manager, players and coaches and a Fuchs sadly doesn't have that experience. Also, how would you feel if it did go poo shoe up?
-
So is Rooney, would you have him because of this reason? How about Gerrard? Doesn't mean that it makes you a good manager. Fuchs has done a good job, but he's been a manger for months, so not very long. Can he rebuild a team? He hasn't ever signed players. He maybe a good motivator, that I will agree, but what about tactically for a higher league? What about coaching? Can he cut it at a higher level? There are too many unknowns and this isn't the time to gamble. We need to get this right first time and I think Fuchs is too much of a gamble with sooo many unknowns. If he wasn't a former player who won the league, would you take him? Let's say a Chelsea player? I don't think people would. Like I've said on my other post, I love Fuchs as a person and as a player, but this is too much for a guy who has been a manager for a few months.
-
I love Fuchs, he was a great player for us and is a great guy as well. I went to events he did and he was great. L However, I don't want him as manager at all. I don't want his legacy lost with us due to it possible not working as manager. He's also very inexperienced manager at the moment and he'll be better learning his trade at a more stable lower league club. Throwing him in here would be a disaster, in my opinion due to how chaotic it is. We need to move on from our title winners and start a new chapter, unfortunately. We're not that club anymore and will never be. I just don't like the idea at all
-
Nope. Because the reason is they didn't know what they were doing and those people are the owner and promotion man.
-
We need the next Lloyd Dyer. He may not have been the most skillful, but he worked his socks off and had speed on the wing that panicked players. Okay, he did run the length of the pitch from a goal kick and then managed to get to the other side fall over and out for goal kick once. But his determination, desire and work rate was never in question. That is what I want to see next season from players.
-
This I can see happening. Any fee we get will obviously be beneficial. For everyone's sake he needs to move on. So he can move on with his career, we can be relieved that a high earner is off the books and the club benefits going forward.
