Reform will become the official opposition in the Welsh Senedd. From virtually nowhere to opposition in one night. If that isn't a seismic shift I don't know what is. There is no denying it. Farage is the most effective politician in the country.
That really depend on your definrion of effective is. If winning elections from low base is your measure then difficult to disagree. If bringing good things for the people you represent, then I struggle to see onthe opposirmte isn't true. Unfortunatley so many people today it is the first measure, yet until the last 10 years or so the second was all that mattered when meauring the success of politicians.

Last I heard, he *owned* the party?
He won't wriggle out of this one, and I bet there's more where it came from. 'Recall petition' territory...is there a Martin Bell to kick him out?!
I hope ypu are right, but I have very little faith in the authorities to deal with this sort of thing, when it involves Farage. There is no chance any other propsective PM would be allowed to host a politics show on a TV news channel, but he gets away with it. Balls my piss that the MSM had Starmer and Reeves donotions of what amounted to half a small wardrobe of clothing, on the fromt pages for weeks, but so little of the milions Farage regularly recieves in donations, seems it only matters if corruption occurs on the left.

I think the argument is that when he received this donation he wasn’t an elected representative.
hence the rules regarding donations didn’t apply to him at that time …………New MPs are required to declare any donation in the previous 12 months, so that simply does not wash.

This is unprecedented. Season tickets for people with zero points and seemingly not even membership!
Unprecedented?????? It would have been had we sold out of season tickets in the 3rd division. The club had been around over 100 years before 2014 and as far as I understand it, that was the first year they sold out of STs.

What's the numbers? Cheapest LCFC ST is £404 and Wolves is £549, that's 30%.
Doesn't look like Wolves have a cheaper rate for renewing, new customers pay the same as renewals. So if you're a new LCFC ST, cheapest is £457, that's only 18% difference.
I may have missed something though, never was great with numbers
36.25% ((549-404)/404)to be precise, which is nearer to 40% than 30%. The Vast majority season ticket holders will get the lower price as most are renewing and in any case it will be the cheaper price in thre second year.

That said not paying Eduoard, Caranza, Couliby wages along with other Rudkin gems would also have helped us meet PSR!
You don't think Wolves have made poor signings??. Unfortunately clubs like ours have to take risks in the transfer market sometimes they pay off, sometimes they don't. I agree we should be doing better, but this narrative that KP is to blame for everything from bad signings to world peace puts those of us who are on the fence re the future direction of the club.

Lets not forget Wolves are gonna be playing in a division up to us.
Yes at a cost to their fans 40% of ours for this season, would you have accepted a price rise in that region had we stayed up. I don't doubt KP have questions to answer, but ticket pricing isn't one of them. Blaming everything wrong in the world today on them does not cause of those that wish KP gone, as fans like me who neither support or hate them are put off this constant KP are the only problem this football club has and therefore eveything can be blamed on them.

Nonsense.
24,000 Season tickets at £550 doesn't even buy Oliver Skipp.
Sorry but clubs need to maximise revenue at all levels, it is not just about whether we can or anyone else can buy one single player. Such additional revenue over three years, could have gone a very long way to the club meeting its PFI obligations.

A more intersting headline would be Wolves cheapest season ticket nearly 40% more expensive than the Foxes. But don't let a headline get in the way of
knocking KP. Foxes fans need to get real about pricing, if you really want to have KP replaced by someone with ambition you need to be prepared to pay more for your tickets I am afraid.

Saw some statistics around taxation of earned income and was surprised. And I'd expect others would be too as it's certainly not the narrative being pushed.
2029-2024 was the fastest increase ever in taxation of earned income.
Sunak reduced this at the end through NI changes which actually meant it dropped down to be the lowest tax take from earnings for many decades years. While it has risen slightly under labour, starmar has the second lowest level of taxation of earned income since Harold Wilson.
You might want to amend that first dates, pretty sure you are not looking into the future

Hopefully KPs delusions of grandeur that we can maintain a top 6 position in the PL by splashing out top 6 wages on a mid-table income will be forever gone and that reality smacks them hard across their faces.
I delusion of grandeur that most fans had at the time, which is why I have a modicom of sympathy with KP. Don't really care whether they stay or go at this stage, either way over time the club will recover to be near where they have been for the last 130 odd years.

I got told yesterday that Peter Allis during Masters commentary once said something like, ‘these greens are as quick as Cosby’s’ 😂
Is this true?
Not any more, I believe around 20 years ago it was though. The greens were rapid for a couple of months each summer, but were very inconsistent throughout the year and were rarely used during the winter months the greenkeeper preferring members play off temps. More consistency now, and we haven't played off temps at all for the last couple of years.

Know a couple at Cosby now as well as the Pro Martin who left Forest Hill to join
Cosby has a really good reputation although yet to play it
I am a member at Cosby and we don't have a pro by the name of Martin, I think he went to Kirby Muxloe.
Our reputation is mainly down to having many very good players including around a dozen off scratch or better. Many casual golfers are not lovers off it though as it provides a very exacting test.
If you fancy testing yourself, let me know.

The point is that any consortium or person would be picking up a club worth vastly less than it is now and with much smaller costs.
A consortium doesn't have to be Dave and John from down the pub.
Only if they go into administration and I don't see that happening anytime soon.
This chat is looking for a fans consortium, which would suggest to me that the OP was looking for Dave and John. In any case whoever comes in will have to be willing to suffer losses as nearly all owners of football have to.

I know Brooks came back and Reed I think there's probably others I've missed. If LIV is definitely shutting down makes me wonder if the likes of Rahm etc come back especially with the Ryder Cup next year. Anyone looking at going next year to the Ryder Cup?
Brooks accepted an offer from the PGAT to go back, but it cost him alot of dosh and he has restricted playing rights for the next couple of years. Rahm was offered the same deal and declined to take it. If this is the demise of LiV, then any deal for Rahm to go back will be very expensive for him. The same applies to any future DPWT membership, where a number of players, including Reed & Hatton, accepted a seperate deal.

They have created the losses.
When this goes into administration somebody will be picking it up for not very much money I'd imagine. We will probably be in league 2 and playing kids and Seagrave will be a ruin.
How does that answer my question? Whilst not completly discounting administration I see no signs of the owners pulling the plug and until that happens it is very unlikley to happen.

Weren’t they going to merge together at one point .
Yes they announced the outline of an agreement nearly three years ago, but negotiations since then have come to nothing, with the PGAT getting stronger over that time, its doubtful they now need any such a deal.

Hello all Foxes.
I first posted my idea back in February. Since then, Rowett has taken over and we seem to have gone from bad to worse as he's proving to be absolutely clueless like the others.
Would be great to take the consortium idea forward. It's not about money at this stage. It's seeing how many think it's a good idea and then we can consider the next step.
The chairman deciding to stay away from our last home defeat to Swansea just about sums up the club's predicament. To the board it's just a business to make money out of the fans. Nothing more.
There's no passion or soul attached to LCFC from the hierarchy. Sure, we have a brilliant training ground. But it would have been better to have stayed at Belvoir Drive and invest all that money in two or three experienced, decent players/and/or a decent, experienced manager.
So it's time for change. A radical change.
Let's seriously think about taking action, consortium wise. If we can get the momentum going, things will happen. I am sure of it.
Can you explain to me how and where the owners have been making money from the fans. KP may be incompetent owners but they have been funding the losses, how do you propose a consortium of fans owning the club would do that.

I would suggest that both clubs are seeing how the next few days go to see what the likelihood either team will be relying on this game for survival before confirming both allocation and prices.
In theory, if it's important for us, but not for them, they know that the home end will be derelict and will give Leicester bigger allocations. If it's important for them, they might not give us as much etc.
Don't be so sensible, we all know all the inconveniences and the horrors of the world our down to Top and KP

Is there any credible evidence for this view?
I am very old but have always believed in the science on this issue, as do almost all of my similarly-aged friends.
There have been plenty of polling data showing that boomers vote reform in higher numbers than other generations, however even the majority of them believe in the science, but in my experience most have no wish to be inconvenienced by anything government would like to mitigate against it.

While I agree to an extent that labour have been disappointing, should have been much bolder in my view even if that had pissed people off. Love to know what reforms you think were require, given that the Tories had spent 14 years reforming the public sector under the guise of austerity, and look how that worked out.
