So last week the "right" were 'standing up for the police' and now this week the 'met are a disgrace' and they are setting fire too a police station. I've got whiplash
-
Oh of course. I think the vast majority of people think both the police officer and the attackers should be properly repremanded.
-
Doesn't change mine. If you kick someone in the head and try and on the stamp on their head while they are face down on the floor you have probably gone too far. Only possible justification I could see is if it somehow prevents a murder which this clearly did not.
-
Yeah this is definitely a factor. They have obviously been planning out the first few weeks and months
-
Don't agree with everything but have to say I'm mightily impressed with the new government so far. That may just be because the incumbents were so bad anything remotely competent that followed was going to look amazing.
-
Didnt know I needed this in my life 😄 Looks great will definitely get it

Because the answer answer is already known. Healthcare is expensive and socialist healthcare is generally the most efficient way of funding it. We still put in much less per capita then USA, France, Germany etc
-
Even the mid table sides can be tricky this time of year. They may be 'on the beach' but also that mid table security also means they may play with a lot of freedom which can make them dangerous
-
I think at this point in the season performances are not important. Results are everything as pressure tends to limit performances for most teams in this situation
-
The Vardy miss against Boro was probably the worst miss of all. Vestergaard missed two very good chances against Boro too
-
We already have more points the third place did in 2007/08 (Hull 75 Points) & 2012/13 (Watford 77 Points)
-
They dropped off after GW 33 From their last 13 games they got 24 out of a possible 39 points 6 wins 6 draws 1 Loss
-
I hope he only gets new contract if he agrees to his wages are halving. Cant afford to give him 75K a week again.
-
We've done really well to be top goal scorers without our midfield or attackers getting the ball tbf Your kinda doing exactly what your trying to criticise. We sometimes play fast transitional football and we sometimes go long and we sometimes move the ball around at the back untill we have the best opportunity to go forward or to waste time/tire opposition/not expose our defence for a long time (our possession based football is why we have the best defensive record in the league)
-
If we go up there's no difference in accounts. If we don't then we only pay 500k and avoid his wages in the championship. It's actually pretty smart for us and the player I'm guessing this is why we are paying more then earlier rumours on the fee suggested. Inter are happy to gamble with the higher fee as we are top of the championship. Very little risk to us or Sensi
-
Based on what? None of us know but I keep seeing people talk about us being desperate to sell like it's fact without any evidence at all
-
I mean neither are in Percy levels of LCFC news reliability wise. They both seem to put out speculation and rumours whereas Percy tends to only put out pretty solid info
-
He didn't though. He said we need to sell to bring in. “We need to sell to bring in. At the end it’s not difficult because we are happy with the squad. But with internationals and injuries, we are short. But we don’t definitely have to sell.”
-
I feel this might be mainly KDHs agent. Not that he wouldn't sign for Brighton or that they aren't interested in him but I reckon his agent has gone out there to get a better contract and if it leads to PL team signing him then happy days. Think KDH is supposed to be on something quite low like 20/30k a week. Which is nothing compared to Vardy and others.
-
140k 2 years ago was a mistake. We were way too sentimental with our legends giving them long big paying contracts even when not playing. Morgan Fuchs Albrighton etc If he renewed his contract it would need to be something in 30k region and on 1 year contract. Would be very surprised if he accepted that tbf
-
For me it's time for him to move on/retire. The last contract we gave him was crazy and fundamentally those contracts we gave out either to legends or new players were why we got relegated.

FFP hits hard in the real world, and … maybe we should rethink?
foxes1988 replied to KingsX's topic in Leicester City Forum
The biggest problem with FFP is that it doesn't work. If you really wanted sustainability in the English game you could do it very easily. But there's too much money in English football and the largest teams are often seen as more important/'powerful'. Leicester are no more important than Bury were. Liverpool no more then Notts County. Clubs are struggling just as much as ever and FFP will not solve it one iota. Either go full capitalism or go the American 'socialised way. This middle ground is just a protection racket anyone pretending it's about sustainability is niave -
It's only large in a geographic sense. I think people conflate that with with being culturally more diverse which I don't see. The USA in Europe would be like Britain being spread across all of Europe. Instead of having vastly different cultures in every nook and cranny. I would say culture wise and principles wise it's much 'smaller' and 'less diverse' than europe. With the country being so young it has to import it's cultural diversity rather than it develop naturally over 1000s of years like most of the rest of the world.

What Game Are You Playing At The Moment ?
foxes1988 replied to LeicesterBran's topic in Music and Gaming
It wasn't game of the year or anything but Graphically it's been the most impressive game to date on the PS5 for me -
Watford (H) 25 Nov - Post-Match Thread
foxes1988 replied to lnkstern's topic in Leicester City Forum
Tbh though when I watch matches form the 90s and early 2000s the games can be incredibly hard to watch. They are faster paced basketball games but no one can spring more then 3 or 4 passes together and most of the 'attacks' are midfields lumping the ball in the box from about 34-40 yards out. Mixing it up occasionally by going more direct/speeding the tempo up/ pushing up positionally are all valid tactical options but any 'style' can be boring to watch. Even out title winning team was very boring to watch at times with the catenaccio tactic
