  1. Got that one in a fourfold. Also look out for You're Cool in the 6:15 at Wolverhampton this evening. Has a great chance at 5/2
  2. A thread about positivity! A nice little escape from the rest of the forum.
  3. The way we have played the last few games it probably is a decent price. I still maintain that there are 3 worse teams than us in this league, even at the moment!
  4. It wasn't quite like that was it? I thought it said more along the lines of "if they only get one point from the next four games then they will look like good relegation candidates"?
  5. Annnnnddddddd Foxestalk explodes. Again.
  6. Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. When they start trying to take digs at things like the stadium and the attendance, you know that they're getting desperate. The reaction from this win has made it even better and even more satisfying.
  7. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04ht10d This is radio 5 live iplayer. The first 30 mins or so about our game. Claridge and Phil Neville are guests. While a focus on United there is some good stuff on us and an interview with Kev Phillips. Phil Neville v complimentary of us and Pearson
  8. Those comments about Vardy simply being a player who runs around with stamina and aggression but little skill are surely a joke. If you'd watched the game you'd have to have the most red-tinted of glasses not to see skill in his play. I assume it wasn't skill that saw him nip in front of their defender, take it past him and whip in a delightful cross for Leo to pop in the corner of the net? I also assume it wasn't skill that saw him chest the ball on the run, take a touch, do De Gea with the eyes and slot it near post leaving the spaniard looking a little stuck in the mud? As Pearson rightly said in one of his post-match interviews Vardy "has a lot more quality than he's given credit for". Lots of people see him as just someone who runs around, presses defenders and roughs them up a bit. A lot of people will see him like that throughout the season. He's not just a hard worker though, he's got a lot of talent as well. He's also a late developer in football terms so there is a hell of a lot more to come from him. Weirdly, and I don't know whether this is the same for anyone else, he reminds me of Craig Bellamy a bit. He didn't do too badly did he!
  9. I had a look on their forum. They still seem to hate Nige... Really odd.
  10. No but him and Mahrez looked a bit fatigued from their midweek exploits. They were the correct players to bring off
  11. Not sure if you're joking but Nuge is another to raise his game for this. All the clubs that hate him and give him stick he scores against...
  12. What tune is it to?
  13. Annnnnnndddddd.... They keep on coming
  14. Edit: We may laugh. However, Konchesky has played in the Premier League with Charlton, Fulham and West Ham (& Liverpool)...
  15. Nope. Not since the advent of the Premier League. I don't think one ever did before then either!
  16. I really hope our game is 4-4 and has to be put on first on MOTD. Would be hilarious to see all the abuse Lineker will receive for being "biased". Also hope he does something like he did in our Blackburn FA Cup tie years ago. Just want him to wind up the rest of the fans in the league.
  17. We won 3 in 16 in the championship the season before last and still managed to make the play-offs. We lost in the cruellest of manners in a play-off semi then just came back and sauntered to win the league and break all manner of records. I'm sure these players can handle adversity. It's basically the same squad. If the squad improves as much as it did last year then we will easily survive!
  18. Oh Phil. How is it hard to see past the promoted teams? maybe 'cos you know nothing about them and haven't seen the players so they must be rubbish? Utter crap. It seems these days if you don't buy players who have played in the EPL then you haven't got a hope in hell. Can't wait for them to start drooling a couple months in over Drinkwater, Mahrez etc... We'll certainly be seen as having "Premier League experience" eh. Edit: Villa have been absolutely shite for the past few seasons. West Brom have hired Alan fvcking Irvine. Swansea have Garry Monk. Burnley have a weaker squad than us. QPR are slow and still lack the creativity they lacked last season. Hull will have Europe to contend with. West Ham fans are always on Sam's back and he may be sacked sooner rather than later. But we've been promoted and don't have fancy names so yeah we're going down. After the first few games I can't wait to take a few of these mediocre teams on. I really hope we show how little knowledge these "experts" have.
  19. Yeah to be honest for those guys their one and only focus is the premier league so you can't expect them to know too much about our strengths and weaknesses. They aren't exaclty going to sit around and watch videos of last season are they. At least say it might be a struggle with our relatively inexperienced squad.
  20. It's like he couldn't think of anything else. I like Merse but at least come up with a decent reason!
  21. Rob Dorsett ‏@Dorselator 12m See #SSN tmrw: Peter Schmeichel praising #lcfc Nigel Pearson, saying he is a great man manager destined to manage at an even higher level.
  22. Agreed. No one has yet given me an argument that makes me think we are within the worst 3 teams in the league. It's all so far based on mythical ideas of a lack of "premier league experience", "some players didn't cut it last time so they won't this time" and "they haven't spent much so surely can't do well". My friends who support the bigger teams in the PL always give me that funny look when I say I'm confident we will stay up. I say they can underestimate us at their peril...
  23. Love it when clueless opposition fans try to comment on us. No-one will really know what we're about. That is, apart from those opposition management teams who have done the right scouting and research. If that comment was to be about anyone it would be Burnley, who were much more in the old-fashioned football mould last season. Even then, they still moved the ball about nicely at times. Hopefully, these "fans" of other teams will be in for a nice little surprise throughout the season. "lacking any flair" :nuge:
