I mean you're all moaning but a draw here would be a fantastic result and it's been a really strong defensive improvement.

They're one of the best teams in the league with a very good home record and even when we were decent they got spawny draws against us.

Oh and we're out of the bottom three.

A draw would be a good result, sure.

But do you think we'll hold out for 10 minutes?

    Great, here comes Ayew.

  2. Did anybody make anything on any oil or shipping stocks?

I made a bit on Battalion oil - unfortunately only put £50 in but doubled my money. Always regret not putting more in when it soars but I have picked my fair share of plums too.

Speaking of plums, I'm sooo in the red on EEE 😂. I have faith in it long term though.

  3. I just asked ChatGPT who we should appoint.

    My Recommendation
If stability and survival are the overriding concerns (and they should be), the optimal appointment would be:

Ralph Hasenhüttl — immediate, experienced, and tactically sound

Gary Rowett — pragmatic, proven in the Championship

Russell Martin — progressive with potential for long-term growth

These choices balance the need to stay up now with the prospect of building toward eventual promotion

I'm sure this is a valid opinion, that most importantly rules out option 1?

Option 1 would also be problematic but has some merit. I do appreciate the City's argument for expanding the existing boundaries but not as far as they are suggesting. It's preferable to Option 3 for me which makes the least sense.

Option 2 makes the most sense to me (although I suppose I'm bound to say that). I do get the feeling the City will get what they want though.

    I don't like option 3.

I happen to work in Highways for the County Council.

If we were split into a North and South, every function we perform (and many others, such as social care) would be split into two. It'd be really complicated and create a lot of duplication. It'd basically do the exact opposite of the intention of Local Government Reorganisation.

  6. Haven't seen the Obama monkey meme video thing. But apparently lots of other figures were depicted like this, including Biden as a monkey eating a banana.

For me, it's not the racism angle that's concerning, it's that this is the level that is being stooped to in modern day politics. Talk about the dumbing down of society.

Short term contract suits both parties!!

How does it suit it suit Maresca? He'll be waiting for another PL job or somewhere abroad. He wouldn't come back here.

Having said that, I don't care what some in this thread have said about being stupid not wanting him back. The football under him was crap. It's what we're still trying to play now.
