Most people will agree with everything you’ve said. For me, or more to my point is the constant negativity of everything. Some people will literally just focus on the negatives and it’s getting really draining. Yes, we are all disappointed at where we are and yes the majority of us want to see certain players not wear the shirt again, but sometimes you’ve got to look at the bigger picture even though it’s not what we want. We need to get behind the lads and try to do what we can to get out of this horror league. I’ll say everything as I see it. There’s nothing wrong with saying Mavididi was crap yesterday. But the same people go on and on and on and quite frankly it’s boring. But this is just my opinion. Doesn’t make it right or wrong, or any more or less validated than anyone else’s.

Yeah, but it’s the same crap every week. We know they’re shite. We’ve watched them do the same thing for over 2 years. Don’t need constant reminders.

Friday nights down there are really good fun.

I think the biggest thing to take away from today, again is all too obvious. We are in desperate need of a striker. It felt like at times we were playing with 10 men. No one occupied their centre halves. I also feel like a lot of it was a bit too predictable. What’s the point of getting it out wide if we aren’t going to put balls in the box? But then again, there wasn’t anyone in the box to do so. We will dominate possession against nearly every team we play against, that’s so clear to see. Teams will press us high, but that could play into our hands if we can break the press although I’m already braced for a few goals conceded from us messing it up from out the back. I think in the first couple of weeks we are going to have to rely on the quality rather than the team clicking also, but hopefully that will come as we get through our first few games. The blueprint, along with the quality is there for sure even if today was a bit underwhelming. Impressed with Joseph and Braybrooke, even if they did get caught out a few times, their confidence at such a young age is fantastic. A win is a win.

In an ideal world, we probably want Somerset to beat Lancs & lose to Northants, along with Surrey beating Notts last game. I think should that happen, we probably get the home semi final regardless.

It’s all a bit confusing! I’m still trying to get my ahead around the permutations properly to understand how we don’t go through. Good thing is, win Sunday and we are through and bar something special happening elsewhere a home semi final.

Somerset can get 20 points and have the next best run rate. They play Lancashire & Northants. Should they win both, that means Lancashire can only get 20 but then wouldn’t be able to catch us on run rate, even if we lose. Notts play Gloucs and Surrey and if they win both will be on 24 but should we win we would likely have a better run rate. Should Surrey win, them and Notts can only get 20 and you would assume they both wouldn’t be able to catch us on run rate should we finish on 20. Lancashire still able to get to 24 but if they do that, that rules Somerset out of the equation who need to win both. Kent have an outside chance of making the quarters but they need to win both and win big. It’s hard to find a permutation that doesn’t see us with a quarter final spot at least.

Notts play Surrey last game too, but bear in mind everyone behind us, bar Surrey have two games left, with us just having one. A win Sunday pretty much sees us with the home semi final, unless Notts have two massive wins?

Not sure it’s as bad as you think. Thomas didn’t acknowledge the player behind cox either and cox didn’t make much of a move towards the other coaches after either.
