  1. That’s for 2004 you one remaining Chuckle nobhead.
  2. This is basically what Leeds did to us. If they can do it with real consistency they’ll be our closest challengers.
  3. To contradict myself and add a bit of context. I’m in my mid 30s now and spent the entirety of my 20s on medication. I was unemployed for large portions of it, I spiralled out of control with substances and self loathing over and over again and at my lowest I was absolutely certain things would never ever get better, I attempted suicide once but was what I would consider suicidal sometimes for months if not years at a time. I’ve been off medication for 6 years now, I have a nice house, wonderful partner, 2 gorgeous and enlightening children and when I said things are never easy if I think about it that’s not true. Sometimes things are unbelievably hard but other times, sometimes for months at a time, I am legitimately happy and life is really easy, it’s nice it’s enjoyable. I can’t guarantee what tomorrow and beyond will bring and I know I will have difficult times in my life moving forward because life throws all sorts of nonsense at you. But what I would say to anyone who is feeling low or on the edge, especially at this time of year who is a young male, if you just cling on things do get better, and things do turn around.
  4. My favourite joke might have said it in here before can’t remember. how do you stop a dog from humping your leg? pick it up and suck its dick.
  5. Spot on and thanks. The way I looked at it, recognising the signs in myself, if I didn’t take them 2 weeks off the alternative was just to power through (as I had already been doing for too long) and probably lose my job due to being unable to do it or have a breakdown, so take the breather, reset and then be much better prepared to cope with the ongoing stresses of life. It’s never easy but if I don’t help myself it’s a hell of a lot harder.
  6. I took 2 weeks off work recently, just said to my manager I’m signing myself off for the week and thereafter I’ll let you know. Ended up getting a doctors note for a further week. I’ve had severe mental health issues around depression in my past and I’m now in a much better place but I have a family to support now and I could feel the anger and negativity and moodiness creeping back in and it got to a point where I told myself if i don’t do something about this now, take some time off and recharge and regain a bit of stability mentally the repercussions could be huge. I’ll be skint next month but better that than dragging my family through a crisis at Christmas. Just do what’s best for you.
  7. To counter what has been said my experience with them leading up to Christmas has been fine, obviously can’t say on letters as don’t know what’s incoming but regards parcels we’ve ordered leading up to Christmas been as expected in terms of delivery times, and our postman is sound always asks how we are etc very polite.
  8. Rotherham at home early 2000s always stands out to me. Absolutely freezing and one of the worst games of football I’ve ever witnessed.
  9. What an impressive display but yeah, 16?! Bloody hell he will look 200 by the time he’s 40.
  10. A charity I’ve always donated to is sightsavers, no reason close to my heart just think helping people to see in the developing world is something that is important and it doesn’t have to be the issue that it is.
  11. And the thing with me is, it might be controversial but I just don’t like women’s football i don’t find it entertaining I don’t think the standard is very good at all. Same reason I don’t watch league 2 football it can be all blood and guts but there’s little in the way of quality. Women’s athletics or tennis I watch a lot and enjoy, it’s competitive and the standard is high. Women’s football needs to improve dramatically before I become interested in it, but that’s just me.
  12. Don’t think she was particularly the outstanding candidate but don’t really think there was one. A lot of sexism obviously from certain quarters but I think people who genuinely believe someone who didn’t actually win anything, especially in a team game, isn’t really deserving of the award, aren’t being sexist, I fall in to that category myself. But then who do you pick? Probs KJT for me she won the world champs and seems really likeable.
  13. I went out in Leicester earlier in the year and as someone who now lives in Nottingham the difference is night and day. Not sure notts is the best city by any means and obviously on here not the best place to toot its horn but Leicester is absolutely dead and depressing comparatively on a night out.
  14. Saw an article on BBC the other day can’t find the link now, but was basically backing up what I was saying a few pages ago in regards to new builds. There are countless examples of poor craftsmanship and poor materials being used and houses being put up in really sorry states all over the place and it’s just getting worse and worse.
  15. This one’s flew over my head.
  16. Annoying but how much have you played it since you got it? I paid about 530 I think it was for my ps5 with a few extras after the shortage ended, skip 4 months and the same bundle was 420 quid, but I got hundred quid a use out of it I’d argue, just about.
  17. The one that sprang to mind instantly was Little nightmares. Watch a trailer and see what you think, very much in the limbo/inside mould.
  18. The cockneys are a lot of fun
  19. Enjoyed the 007 reality programme on prime, only thing that bugged me throughout was cutting to the guy from succession just smirking over and over. Weird.
  20. Still like him but can’t argue he’s been massively under performing, just hope he finds some form as would love him to do well just isn’t happening currently.
  21. He did used to have a tipping line you could call at an extortionate rate years ago. He’s a presenter but more a commentator these days and he’s so bad at it compared to the others. Every other race as they go past the line he’ll say ‘that’s one for the judge!’ Even if a horse has won 3/4 of a length.
  22. I often get meat from Aldi and Lidl and have no complaints with it. Chicken, sausages and burgers we buy almost weekly and never had an issue.
  23. Had another 6 fold over the week and Newcastle let me down for 350 notes from a 3 quid bet. Did land a 20/1 bet builder on the West Ham spurs game though, first one in ages.
  24. The nasty pig faced hypocrite knows his way around a table, no question.
