Saw him in notts on Thursday I think it was, city centre.

Yeah this I don’t think he gets near enough recognition for his sublime first touch. He couldn’t just trap a ball as well as anyone ever has (and he really could), he could put his first touch to seemingly exactly where he wanted it to be to create space for himself to take a player on/make the killer pass/take the shot. He was majestic and I still maintain as much as Kante was influential and Vardy is the goat and every other argument for every other player, many of which legitimate, Riyad is hands down the best player I’ve ever seen in a Leicester shirt and is up there with the best players I’ve ever seen full stop

Wikipedia is a fantastic resource it’s often checked and a lot of dedicated people work for/with them. I think Lennon being killed the way he was was way too convenient, Diana the same but that’s about as far as my conspiracy theories stretch.

Think he’s just not quite up to it myself, get a real stearman vibe about him.

Cost of living crisis.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot replied to Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot's topic in General Chat
Think that’s the point, everything costs more and wages are decreasing in actual terms. In the US I think minimum wage has been the same in some (most?) states for 20 years and they rely on this hideous tipping culture to pay people something approaching respectable. It’s all a con. -
Great break by ding.

Your personal goals and aspirations for 2024

8th of January and I’m 3 days completely smoke free. But I’m typing this message from my local spoons so, swings and roundabouts I suppose. -
I watched saltburn on the recommendation of some of the missus friends.‘I couldn’t believe it I had to watch it through the gap in my hand’ and comments of the like. 2 hours of my life I’ll never get back absolutely dreadful. Nothing happened for 110 minutes then it tries to reveal itself as clever with stuff that was basically obvious all the way through, it wasn’t a twist it just confirmed what was obvious. Dreadful.

I find it hard to find fault in a technique that just hammers the 60 continuously, myself!
-
That is annoying. we’re 6/4 to win today, had a bit of that, and 17/2 to win both halves which I’ve had a dabble on.

Ah right misunderstood you sorry.

Do mark selby and Luke Humphries rely on alcohol to get by? Luke Humphries looks like one of the physically fittest darts players out there, the state of some of them, clearly drunks fair enough but you must be on the wind up, never seen Humphries look or act drunk in an interview this season.
-
And I don’t get why people don’t like Humphries? What is it about him he seems like a humble guy who has grafted hard and come through mental struggles he is open about and doesn’t ever use it as an excuse in the vein of a James Wade who is often a complete dick and says but oh yeah mental helf, or a Gerwyn price who often seems to be controversial for the sake of it. Plenty of darts players who can rub you up the wrong way for one reason or another but I’ve never seen anything from Humphries that would indicate a reason for people disliking him. Genuinely intrigued what it is about him some people don’t like as I can’t fathom it.

What Game Are You Playing At The Moment ?
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot replied to LeicesterBran's topic in Music and Gaming
Finally finished Alan wake 2 and I was hugely impressed. It won’t be everyone’s cup of tea but it’s a game with an actual identity, something which I feel is hugely lacking in the AAA space in recent years. Yea it loves itself and it loves the smell of its own farts but I found it genuinely unique in its storytelling and its gameplay was very enjoyable by and large. Only 2 games i completed thus far from last year was that one and Jedi survivor and I enjoyed them both but Alan wake 2 left a much bigger impression, I can’t wait to see what remedy do next they are fast becoming my favourite developer they seem to be the only developer in gaming that does what they want and have a proper budget behind them. I will take some recommendations on what to play next? Anything indie that’s unique or a AAA game from recent years that tries to actually do something rather than tick all the generic boxes I might have missed? I might try the resi 4 remake I enjoyed that first time round. -
Why dreadful to watch Humphries every week? Best player on the planet by a distance currently.

Nah they all die in incredible and hilarious ways, maybe one can drown in the remnants of the juice created from the midgets struggling to reach the chalkboard. -

Think all the billionaires should have to do a battle royale on a remote island and the winner gets to live on jobseekers for the rest of their lives. -
We all dislike Everton obviously but that’s criminal they were the only team who looked like winning it and he’s literally just clipped his shin with the very edge of his boot it’s not reckless and not of control how can they say that’s a clear and obvious error I do not miss var in the championship everything about it is rotten and it is slowly ruining the spectacle of football and seemingly getting worse and worse in both use and implementation, why can’t they just say okay we will keep goal line and cases of mistaken identity but everything else is on field.

Don’t see how that is a red card not even sure it’s a foul.

Profiteering arse holes I’d put it down to more than uninsured drivers. More and more drivers are going to be driving uninsured because a tin can with wheelie bin lids for wheels costs 3 grand to insure when it’s worth the 50 p -
Wahey, Humphries outright at the start of the tournament 3s, to win tonight with most ton+ finishes 5/2 and with most 180s 15/8 happy days, went exactly as I thought pretty much had a hefty wedge on 7-3 I thought would be tight first few sets and Humphries pull away and win comfortably in the end. fair play to him best darts player on the planet and proved it tonight, surely Littler gets in the Premier League, hell of a player.
-
Think the standard is just continuing to creep up in regards to MVG, and he’s in decline, similar to the tail end of Taylor’s career.
-
They’re all absolutely hammered and I imagine a great deal of them are on gear as well, bet there’s fights there most nights.
-
This is the Luke Humphries that was pre tournament favourite. He plays like this and Littler plays like he does would be an epic final.
