Is the F A Cup run now a distraction?
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot replied to weller54's topic in Leicester City Forum
Potentially 3 more games to win a major trophy and we have arguably the strongest squad in the league. 1 game away from Wembley. We have to give it everything now, full strength.- 54 replies

Guess some people just get a kick out of being controversial or getting a reaction. Disagreements in discussion is heathy but think it’s the world at large, where there are things that are absolutely right to be shot down just having a different opinion on something like ketchup v mayo can turn people in to monsters. Never got involved in it myself, pointless.

He’s definitely guilty of being a grade A bell end.

After watching the latest series of true detective and being underwhelmed without offended I thought I’d give series 1 a go as it’s held in such high regard. Honestly I found it to be rather dull. It was well acted and the last 2 episodes I thought were really good but as a series it just didn’t hit the heights I was expecting it to. Pretty disappointing.

Yeah you’re probably right, I have no idea what goes on with councils or even how they work, and not overly interested, all I know is services are constantly being cut and the roads that aren’t main roads make it seem like a third world country, and where I live in Nottingham the amount of council tax I pay is obscene and services are being cut left, right and centre. If it’s not corruption it’s just outright incompetence, either way it’s your average Joe who suffers.
-
I don’t know that for a fact I just thought if the governments policies and contracts are all given out to their mates (which plenty of evidence they often are) the councils are probably at it too, no accountability.
-
The problem with all councils is corruption. There’s a reason when a road is relaid you’re lucky if it lasts 3 years before it needs to be done again. Contracts for their mates using crap materials making an absolute killing. It’s a joke.

Don’t get the hate for daka thought he had a brilliant game, played big part in the first goal, scored a perfectly good goal and missed a great chance. Link up play was very good, held the ball up, always a threat in behind and closed down well. Can’t see how you can single him out on that performance. Might as well take digs at Riccy P for misplacing a pass during the game.

EFL Cup 2023/24

Sure I’m not the first to say it but it’s just a shame one of them has to win. -

Not being funny but in 2 of the 3 seasons gone we suffered much worse collapses. 14 points clear of 5th with 12 to play wasn’t it? Not saying that will happen this season but it did happen 2 seasons running and the season after we got relegated so I can totally understand why people are pessimistic and I’d be lying if I wasn’t worried about it myself as a lot of that squad is still here. I hope beyond hope and believe we will go up automatically but we can’t be sure of anything. -
Did it end on a cliff hanger? Half way through the first series and can’t be doing with it if I invest 10+ hours in to it just to be left hanging.

This a leak?

Seems it’s unpopular for this thread but I quite like the 2 songs squire and Gallagher have put out. Basically the Seahorses but sang properly.

Yeah it’s a Amazon prime perk.

There is a 2 for 10 thing with odeon I think Monday through Thursday can’t remember how to access it but sure I read about it.

Tricky one tonight would bite your hand off for a point and keep the gap.

Civil service/HMRC/DWP are great in terms of opportunities, progression, job security, generous holidays and pension. It’s also not really that hard to get a job there as there are so many and the criteria are so clearly pointed out you can practice everything before hand and basically smash it after a few goes. Honestly to get in HMRC as an E O really isn’t that hard and you’ll be on upwards of 30,000 from the get go, and if you have experience within certain industries and a specific skill set then getting jobs as a HEO or SEO isn’t entirely difficult and also the progression there is almost guaranteed. To anyone struggling to find a job I would highly recommend looking on civil service jobs.

Agreed, not sure it stuck the landing.

What Game Are You Playing At The Moment ?
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot replied to LeicesterBran's topic in Music and Gaming
Was doing it takes two with the missus but went to play it the other day and they’d taken it off the ps catalogue and 35 quid to buy so will leave that one now, I’ve played through it before and really enjoyed it but missus was loving it so a shame. Plumped for Man Of Medan as really enjoyed Until Dawn. 4 hours later and the credits were rolling?! Very underwhelming offering, story was boring and gameplay was underwhelming. Will try the next one in the series as they’re about all I can think of that’s on the catalogue that’s a suitable couch co op experience. Will go through until dawn again next I think. -

Case in point why I hate var so much. Original decision no goal, 4 minutes of them checking, but checking for what? As it’s never communicated to the audience. End result carry on. Pathetic. -
Best goal you've seen scored against us
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot replied to foxfanazer's topic in Leicester City Forum
I was sat directly behind the goal, as in about 5-6 metres away when Dennis Bergkamp scored that goal against us, doubt I’ll ever see one better. -
Got half way through the third episode of Ted, I seem to remember enjoying the films but a combination of the accents and it being generally abysmal has made me switch it off.

Seen it reported now so can’t get the site in trouble but there are strong indications the ‘inappropriate conduct’ was of a sexual nature.

Think when they don’t give a cause of death this is most likely the case, but normally it’s ’died suddenly’ and the few headlines I’ve seen haven’t said that so I’m not sure.

Not bothered tbh, Ipswich Ipstich I’m a Leicester fan, hope they go up solely because they’ll almost definitely go straight back down.
