I didn’t realise that although not directly like Enzo, Corberan is very much also a “follower” of Guardiola https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/3732540/2022/10/27/carlos-corberan-west-brom-coach/ Two years later, Villarreal finished as runners-up in La Liga, one place ahead of Barcelona and Pep Guardiola, a coach whom Corberan admired above all others. He’d been particularly impressed by how Guardiola’s revolutionary methods at Camp Nou were subsequently adopted by the Spanish national team in their quest to dominate international football. Such was the high esteem in which Corberan held the former midfielder — he also closely studied the methods of Juanma Lillo, who was, until earlier this year, Guardiola’s assistant at the Eithad Stadium and previously the Catalan’s manager when Guardiola was still a player in Mexico with Dorados de Sinaloa — that he eventually moved to Saudi Arabia in 2012 to continue that education. “Always, Guardiola was talking about Lillo,” Corberan explained in a wide-ranging interview earlier this year with The Athleticabout his journey to Huddersfield. “Back when I started studying him, 15 to 20 years ago, Lillo was coach at a second-division club in Spain called Terrassa. “Where everyone else was talking about defensive organisation, they were talking about offensive organisation. So, as others spoke about being compact, Lillo, and those like Guardiola who followed him, were talking about attack. “At the time, I was doing my doctorate in football. My final project was to study the philosophy of Lillo. I followed his training. Later, I started to have contact with him. “I also started to have high connections with his assistant (Raul Caneda), too. After he had the opportunity to go to Saudi Arabia, I went as his assistant. I moved to learn more about Lillo’s ideas and thinking.”

If you mean this article I am not quite sure what you mean? https://www.lcfc.com/news/4028991/king-power-race-meeting-brings-leicestershire-community-together

Seen quite a lot of fans of other clubs thinking that Corberan would be an upgrade West Brom fans seem like they will be absolutely gutted if they lose him
-
Both Middlesbrough games they sat in their box and just let us have the ball and did us on the counter - 67% and 71% possession in those 2 games We did better in the 10 games where we had our least amount of possession compared to the 10 games where we had the most possession Even if it wasn't the Enzo way against Southampton and however unhappy he was with it, I think we still would've seen more performances more like that across the season in the Prem
-
It would be the 5 he brought in with him I imagine Willy Caballero Danny Walker Michele De Bernardin Marcos Alvarez Javier Molina Caballero
-
I was looking forward to seeing how Enzo-ball worked out for us in the Prem as I think the football would've been better to watch as we wouldn't be dealing with opponents sitting all 11 players in their own box for 90 minutes - I do still think there would have been a few batterings along the way where he got it wrong but I expect that with someone still so relatively inexperienced as a manager This is the kind of offer Enzo can't offer refuse though as he has to back himself as a manager to go in there and do well, there are very few if any managers that wouldn't make the jump from a newly promoted side to a side who can offer the manager ridiculous wages and a £1billion squad full of really good young players to work with Overall I can't complain as Enzo did his job of getting a club in a crap position mentally turned around, got us back to the Prem at first ask, and we are going to get £10m+ in compensation from Chelsea for him and his staff Just hope the club get the next appointment right because next season is going to be a proper fight that we will need a good leader for, and get it sorted quickly
-
Enzo gonna be balling with a contract that long when he gets sacked
-
They definitely weren't? Needed Hamza to have the best game of his career ever with multiple goal line clearances to beat them at our place
-
Reported that Chelsea told him thanks but no thanks and there weren't going to go any further with him in the process
-
Need to hope now that Bologna don't pay the clause
-
McKenna would definitely be going to Chelsea or Man Utd if they had offered it to him
-
-
Gary Megson I think
-
They should have a pretty good idea already if Potter is up for it as he has the same agent as Enzo, Vardy, KDH, Hamza, and Oscar Garcia (Leuven manager)
-
I expect they will try for Potter but hopefully they don't just piss around for weeks trying to convince him to join just for him to say no, move on quickly if he isn't really up for it 6th June will be when we officially become a Prem team and will be able to start doing business, need to have someone sorted before then so we can get started straight away
-
I would like Sarri but he got quite annoyed at Lazio about how they do business in the transfer market so probably not
-
A lot easier to replace KDH than Mads though imo (especially if our next manager wants a keeper good with their feet as well)
-
Hermansen is the only player in our squad that I am possibly worried about him going for, none of their goalkeepers are as good with their feet as Mads is Can't see them him wanting to go for anyone else though
-
Bruno Genesio - free (previously at Rennes) Franck Haise - Lens Carlos Corberan - West Brom Kjetil Knutsen - Bodo Glimt Will Still - free (previously at Reims) John Heitinga - free (previously at Ajax) Maurizio Sarri - free (previously at Lazio)
-
They are getting Bruno Genesio aren't they? Both Genesio and Haise would be on my list anyway so doesn't bother me really if one of them goes to Nice, we can just go for the other!
-
Franck Haise at Lens
-
Signing a new deal at Boro I think
