This is why it almost cannot be looked at logically - from a fans perspective anyway in my opinion because for whatever reason people with that kind of money love to do it You would think with how much money is needed to be thrown at football these days that you wouldn't see clubs being bought very often, but to me it seems to be happening more often than it ever used to be - you used to have proper long term ownerships at clubs but now it seems like there is always quite a few clubs in talks for being take over, investors joining etc. The club may be seen as a bit of a money pit at the start - but to someone who has the money and wants to spend I think they could see it is a "shortcut" of sorts because a lot of groundwork of the ownership regarding stadium (planning permissions in place already), training ground (already done), womens side (wouldn't take any money at all to turn them into a decent side), multi-club model (get Leuven as a part of the deal), dedicated supporters (they know they will always be able to sell all the season tickets) is already there for them to jump on As an example Charlton Athletic are up for sale, but if you wanted to turn them into a proper Prem side with the stadium, facilities, big project club etc. then I think they would cost a lot more to get to that end point than we would Smaller initial outlay but look at the money Birmingham's owner is throwing at that club within just a couple of years and has already committed to with a multi-billion pound stadium - the potential owners are out there

I think it might be somewhere around €20-30m looking at other club sales The Leicester women's side is potentially around the same as well, although might be a bit more because of their own training ground compared to other womens teams? (cba to look who else has one haha) I expect it makes a potential sale longer to work on because of their being 3 seperate clubs potentially involved But yeah the £200m price tag for Leicester City is rather disingenuous
