  1. Agree, though standards are currently so low, what constitutes a good game isn't anything special.
  2. Can't even shift mine on resale - for a match v Man U. Crowds will be down to 25k in the Champo next season, I reckon.
  3. Actually, there is also another record that we could break: worst ever goal difference. We're currently on -36 and the record is -48 in 1908/09.
  4. The key stats are set out below. Warning - it is very grim reading: Fewest points per game (converted to 3 points) - 0.64 in 1977/78 (0.63 so far this season) Fewest wins - 5 in 77/78 and 01/02 (4 so far this season) Most defeats - 25 in 77/78 in a 42 game season (18 so far this season, which at the current rate would result in losing 28 games in a 42 game season) Fewest goals scored - 26 in 77/78 in a 42 game season (25 so far this season) Most goals conceded - 112 in 57/58 in a 42 game season (61 so far this season, projected to concede 85 over 38 games, which would equate to 95 over a 42 game season, the 4th worst goals conceded per game in our entire history)
  5. True but as a big a mess as we are currently, and with the future looking very bleak, too, I still wouldn't swap places with them. Our highs are higher than anything they and other clubs outside the big 6 can dream of, even if they've come at the likely cost of a long spell in the abyss coming up.
  6. Personally, I have no issue with Brighton, but well run or not, what have they actually achieved so far? Not won anything and never been higher than 6th in any PL season. Maybe that will change this season, but hard to see them getting anywhere near what we have achieved over the last decade.
  7. Cov winner in 97th minute.
  8. This season is truly awful.
  9. I agree. It's where he plays for Morocco, too. Earlier in the season, Facundo was much more of a goal threat in the 10, both in terms of scoring and assisting.
  10. That Liverpool performance tonight has to be our blueprint for this match!
  11. God, don't! They'll batter us next season if they stay down, though.
  12. Fvck this season. Up there with the very worst I've endured in 40 plus years following football.
  13. Based on what happened last time, the FA will take weeks to make a decision and give him a 2 game ban. Still furious he was allowed to play on and win Wolves 6 points over Xmas, after what he did against Ipswich. Not that it will make any difference now as Wolves already have more points than we'll manage all season.
  14. I'm the same, though I actually feel that this is one of the few games left where we could get a result.
  15. On a positive note, we only have to play 2 matches between now and 5 April, which is a blessed relief.
  16. Has to go now. End of. No fight, no energy, no ideas.
  17. Suspect Ruud's response will be to bring on Coady and Ayew for BEK and Facundo.
  18. I just laughed out loud at their second goal. How are so-called PL defenders conceding that? Truly embarrassing.
  19. The atmosphere in the crowd for that run was almost on a par with the UCL matches. Was a pleasure to be part of.
  20. Mine too. Watching those clips from Burnley has made me quite emotional. What an absolute legend he is. He was so good at identifying not only talented players but those with the right attitude, something totally lacking in nearly all of the current lot.
  21. I thought the same. If we can’t compete with Brentford at home, then we might as well ask to be relegated now. What a sad state of affairs.
  22. Title and relegation places all but settled with 12 matches to go. #bestleagueintheworld
  23. Newcastle have been so complacent and sloppy this half. Would have been great to see Forest get a hammering.
