The proposed ground redevelopment looked really good but the question is, would high quality new facilities help County to boost attendances, or be an expensive white elephant? The answer to that lies in determining the underlying cause for the disappointing crowds at Grace Road, expecially for CC games. Is that down to the dated facilities, or other reasons like a lack of interest in cricket in the area, ticket/membership prices, etc. If it is the latter, a few fancy new stands won't help make us more sustainable.

This looks like a nailed on draw, given how slowly they're batting and the dodgy weather. Glamorgan are on for another win by the looks of it.

The batting in recent games has been very hit and miss. We've largely been dependent on 2 or 3 players scoring the runs, with lots of low scores otherwise.

Winks, Skipp, Vesty and Coady as the central defensive base of the team just doesn't work. No pace or physicality at all. We'll get slaughtered on the break if we push the full backs forward and leave those 4 to cover, as we're seeing today.

He's basically unplayable on this pitch, it seems. Patel has had a stinker of a season. Combining the start of this innings with the end of our first innings, we've now lost 8 wickets for about 40 runs.

Interesting stat on our innings: Leicestershire's total is the lowest completed innings to include three centuries in the history of county cricket, beating 422 by Essex against Glamorgan at Swansea in 1995.

Does seem very odd that we've left Cox out again in the CC. Unless he has some sort of knock that means they don't want to risk him in a 4 day game.

I fear the likes of Jewel and Madsen are going to make us pay heavily for this morning. Derby now know they are right back in with a chance of winning this.

Either the pitch has suddenly turned into a minefield or we've had a collective brainfart. This has now given Derby a chance of still winning this game.

Agree that it's definitely not worth taking risks just to get the extra batting point. We need to bat long enough to rule out a Derbyshire win. I'd be happy to see us bat the whole of today!
