Andy King is on a hiding to nothing. I know about PSR but the messages that the squad is good enough is pure complacency.

I’m guessing they are hoping Andy King will turn things around today and early next week. If we are in the relegation zone come the end of Tuesday night I think they will finally act but nothing much will change with club structure .

I’m still amazed that we haven’t recruited a proven striker. It seems that the 2 front men coming in are an attacking midfielder and a winger that can play as a forward. This is so typical of recent recruitment last year with forwards which is making do with utility players mainly wingers that on occasion can play up front

Going to be a hell if a battle to stay up based on recent form but at least we know

Was expecting to read this was an 18 month or 2 year contract. Well worth a punt on a short term deal

Szmodics knew the manager already did he not at Derby?
Fair enough that was just an example. Just feels like we have been kicking the can down the road with strikers never prioritising it year on year and this is the worst situation I can remember.

It looks like at least one of the loan signings is a striker but neither of them have scored a premier league goal or featured much at all. Cannot believe nobody with a proven goal scoring record has been signed even Derby have taken Szmodics on loan. If he was too expensive why have we signed Southamptons top earner?

Currently Leicester have one striker in Daka with 2 goals in the last season. Ayew is a winger not a number 9. Both of these out of contract soon anyway. Even if this young player is excellent I’m struggling to believe that yet again we are going for a midfielder than can help out up front rather than an option on an out and out striker. So who is going to be leading the line going into nexr season?

Happy with this he sounds like a number 10 with a lot of potential. Yes he can play as a striker but is this his strength?. Still begs the question about signing an out and out striker with a bit of physicality and goals.

We can’t play two inexperienced centre backs so fingers crossed he will be a useful addition and leader. His fitness and wages are a concern. Be interested to see what terms have been agreed

Absolutely mental if this is true. Not a priority position, not rated one bit by his current clubs fans. Southampton again!
It's so obvious we do basically no work at all and just have our entire transfer business dictated to us. We are basically the agents scrapyard.
Rudkin - the so called worst in the business.
Leicester need players that are better than what we have and in key positions like striker no 10 full back possibly another keeper etc. As usual we seem to go for these squad players on big wages that other similar teams don’t want

Leicester are not too good to go down. Defensive mistakes every week but no changes, a very lightweight midfield and playing a winger as no 9. We have been saved by bits of quality from James plus sometimes Fatawu and Reid but the overall game is slow and predictable with a very low work rate. Physical sides with little quality that should be there for the taking find it way too easy to push us aside.

My guess was around 24k yesterday. I wasn’t sure how many left after the second goal.

Feel a bit sorry for Andy King to be fair. The start of the second half suggested some blunt words at half time but the penalty miss was the final straw

Another player I think Leicester were linked to a few years ago and he was decent to be fair. Barely played for 2-3 years. Do Leicester do any scouting or is it a matter of who they remember looked OK a while back.
-
Seems a lazy bit of recruitment with the usual Southampton connections. In addition player is on big money.
-
The last 2 games have shown the club is in free fall. We need someone that can bring some dominance back in midfield, control and pass the ball forwards. With the recent injuries and ongoing fire sale I don’t know why Leicester wouldn’t turn to Winks if he looks fit and motivated and IMO he did put a shift in today.
-
There was a time when Leicester would target players and bring them in early in the window like Wilf or Harry Maguire. Now there is nothing until 48 hours before the end of the window. I remember a year ago RVN saying we would only be bringing players in that were better than we already had so we brought one player in on a 4.5 year contract that played about 4 games!

Looking at the current odds can’t get excited by any of them tbh. Whoever comes in needs to get the players fit and running and stop the tippy tappy pedestrian brand of football. Odds for Ralph Hasenhuttl have dropped a little I don’t mind him despite the 9 0 debacle

Strange interview with Top. Perhaps he had rehearsed what message he was going to provide but little hint that Marti was going to be sacked or realism that we were not going to get to the play offs. There was no suggestion that no money was available although PSR mentioned but other sources say loans only. Matty Fryatt got it right not only management but club issue really worried about the total lack of direction moving forward.

I seriously doubt Leicester ability to get through a relegation fight post points deduction. The first half today I think xg was 0.17 absolutely no reaction to going behind could barely string a pass together. I don’t think having 2 or 3 players with a bit of quality will make up for lack of pace desire and running for 95 mins

I’ve been watching the club since the early 1970s and I cannot remember anything as poor as this. The fans have turned up in reasonable numbers but by half time chorus of boos and chants as Leicester comfortably second best to side in relegation zone
-
A decision needs to be made asap regarding Winks. The team is now short of players at 8 9 10 along with full backs.Winks when on his game provides fluency decent passing and a bit of control in midfield. I don’t know how big the barriers have become to return but you can add another central midfielder to the list if there is no way back. The chances of the club delivering on all these gaps seem to be close to zero.

I think after a couple of brilliant goals early on this season Abdul seems to do what he wants and the decent crosses getting behind defences are few and far between. This is a coaching issue and I don’t see many players really developing apart from James

I’ll probably go as I missed a few games around Xmas and I am sympathetic to Andy King’s predicament with the club and players letting him down. Totally understand those having a night off
