I really can’t see the point of another technocrat.. It’s fairly obvious that the style of play doesn’t suit the calibre of players that we have and that the team looks slow and weak in challenges particularly in defence. We don’t need lecturing that the Xg doesn’t reflect the results and over a period things will improve. I would like to see investment in scouting rather than finding old contacts of the manager that were OK 3 years ago or bringing another person to trawl through spreadsheets without watching people play.

It seems to be a combination of the weakest back four I can remember plus the shape we play leaving an acre of space to run into on the break making them look worse than they could be. Perhaps if Jakub, Joseph and Nelson were fit it would be better. but as it stands it is barely L1 standard IMO. To make matters worse the players that Martin have brought in are generally not great passers of the ball or suited to his style with the exception of Riis.. So the midfield looks strong on paper but the new signings seemed slow there was little press, creativity or attempt to stretch the opposition it was mainly Page and Alves. Bringing Okoli back on Saturday seemed at odds with Martin's philosophy considering his poor distribution although to be fair others were poorer. It was so bad on Saturday it was almost impossible to watch and it is the first time I have left before half time.

It just seems to me that the club hierarchy have put far too much faith in Martin not just his style of play but the signings of new players many on 3+ year contracts. Can anyone say that the squad is much stronger with the exception of Emil Riis and several players have been really disappointing.A lot of this is not on McCarron but I wonder how much discussion has gone on in private about a plan B if results don’t improve after say 10 games.

It is a very strange style of play. So often Leicester get in good advanced positions but seem to wait for the whole team to catch up by which time the gaps have closed. The ironic cheers with every sideways pass yesterday and lack of ideas said it all. Not surprisingly we get a few shots in but don't score many. Of course with so many camped on the edge of the opponents box one ball over the top or to a pacey winger we are in trouble. Martin is quick to point to the full backs but there needs to be some sort strategy to prevent this scenario which we also saw v Oxford and Burton and I haven't seen any reflection on this from the manager. If we had proper box to box midfielders like KDH and fit players like Abdul tracking back it might work but of course they are long gone.

People do care whether they are angry or simply leave early because they can’t cope with watching any more. The problem over the last couple of years is that these kind of results have become the norm and nobody is really surprised by it. I’ve almost stopped moaning to friends who support other teams about the club because they are already saturated.

Going to be really short of creativity in midfield if he goes. Has to be a crazy offer

Every year the club skirts around the striker issue buying utility attacking players like Reid Chaplin Burns etc and maybe gets one unproven centre forward . Well I think we have seen enough in the last 3-4 games to see that that is going to cost the club big time coupled with the ineffective possession stuff. DKD from Wrexham on loan or someone a bit younger but not another premiership loanee that has never scored beyond the youth teams

Jakub was on a hiding to nothing last night playing against a premier league team and with a cobbled together defence. I believe he is the best Leicester have at the moment but suspect he won’t be picked on Saturday.

A lot has been said about the booing but that was mainly after the second goal I think. The whole central spine particularly CBs made so many mistakes and it was surreal and not surprisingly moans and groans were inevitable throughout . Things boiled over a bit towards the manager when Bristric Alves and Burns came off after 55 mins because they were probably as effective as anyone against a physical outfit like Burton. At lease most people stayed until the last few minutes

Ultimately whilst the club is on the market the fire sale will continue and investment in new players will be minimal. Maybe just enough to pay lip service to providing cover for those leaving but not even treading water in terms of quality looking at recent business

Not a great start loads of possession xg 0.77 which was a third of that of Notts. Nonetheless management think we have enough strength up front when for the second consecutive game needed a defender to get a goal. Honestly not confident in the slightest that the position in the table will improve. Transfer business underwhelming with older pros known to the manager. Style of play might be different but still overly cautious lots of similarities with Coopers time here so far

So we have one unproven no 9 and 2 utility players up front. I thought at least another loan striker would be sanctioned. Look how difficult the Northampton game was created next to nothing the central defenders were the biggest threat from corners team full of midfielders. Complacency

Really if Leicester are spending so little on a striker around £1m plus add ons it could have been sorted much earlier in pre season. We have no idea if the lad is good enough of course I hope he is but can’t see him starting on Saturday when a good opening game is so important.

So Martin can name 2 substitute goalkeepers in the squad I remember Enzo doing this to make a point. What is happening with Centre Forwards?

The problem is that we don’t have players that are comfortable on the ball and can control a game at the back or even in midfield. Okoli has some good qualities such as his pace but if he stays in the side needs to be protected by someone reliable which didn’t happen with Souttar being not up to speed. I know Winks and Vesty have left but for all the criticism they are more suited to Martin’s style. Need a couple of quality players in and the same up front but can’t see it happening. Really interested to see what happens v Notts as they will certainly press and even against the cobblers Leicester looked shaky.

Adebayo with 2 serious injuries seems too great a risk surely other options will emerge over the next fortnight. But yes we need 2 centre forwards not more utility second strikers or wingers filling in which has been the pattern of late

I can understand Burns if fit is a good player although he has had a few other injury niggles last year after the knee problem. More concerned if we go back to Adebayo who has hardly played for a couple of years. Too great a risk to bring him in surely particularly if Bristol City not keen on him

Don't know why Leicester haven't gone for Ballard (if he is interested) as he is a known quantity in the EFL and we will end up spending the same if there is a grain of truth in this. Having said that the team is crying out for a big striker so maybe there is a plan here.

Clearly still need a striker and not just an unproven last minute loan with no senior goals in the EFL as happened more than once last year. But the Ben Nelson injury might mean thinking twice about letting all the experienced defenders go to raise funds.

The problem is that we keep going for these utility players usually aged about 30 on biggish wages that can play up front but are never going to get 20 goals a season and cannot be regarded as more than a short term fix. Someone younger like Ballard will at least be profitable in the medium term if he maintains his form but that sort of thinking has been lacking over the last couple of years even when we were in the Prem with the exception of Bilal.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Cullen is one of 2-3 striking options. The Adebayo link has gone quiet one minute he is supposedly at Seagrave the next he is in the Bristol City side in a friendly. Hopefully a statement signing is on the way along with this

Last season made mistakes with Ramsey and Lascelles who were coming back from injuries tried to get Antonio too. Just seem to make the same gambles year on year. Unless this is one of two say Dom Ballard or similar I can see Leicester being in a hell of a predicament with a side full of midfielders no width or cutting edge.

I see Notts County have brought in a 6ft 4 striker from Finland can see him causing a lot of problems particularly if Souttar leaves. Are there any credible striker links only threads of late seems to be full or centre backs?

Agree and look how much wages City paid for loan signings Lascelles Aribo must be close to 5ml combined, no resale value etc. How Leicester are promotion favourites with no proven strikers and the best young wingers sold I don’t know
