We need a proper no10, mate The versatile players should be used as back up to the ‘square pegs’. its a squad game played over a season with lots of injuries You don’t have to get all your best players on the pitch at the same time. Especially if you’re lucky enough to have say 16 top quality players

This guy certainly gives us more flexibility in wide areas than Soule. I think people are clutching a little bit, if they think Soule will be played as a 10. He can, but don’t think we’d buy him for that.

Anyway, not sure where you’re getting this ‘not playing wingers’ bit from? He plays 4231 a fair bit. He even played it when they came to our place. (admittedly we spanked them that day 👀)

This guy and BDCR are very versatile (as with Choudhury and JJ to an extent). Mangers will generally tell us that they want 2 good options for each position. With these ‘Swiss army knife’ types, these are good options for squad building.

Cooper plays 433, 3421 AND 4231 He likes to have players at his disposal to play any formation He had some relative good success when he played MGW in his favoured position as a number 10, getting Forest out of a sticky patch when they reverted to that system

As I’ve said in other threads, If it means we get a less good winger to then have the money to buy a proper number 10, then I’m happy with this outcome. Just hope it is the case that we get that special number 10

I think due to our current situation, Coops will want to have a good look at Victor and Soumare, before even thinking about letting them go. Those two positions we are light in. He may well want to keep them until at least January, to see where we are at. I think by the end of this window we will have sold/loaned out Iversen Nelson Wanya Marcel maybe even McAteer If a good offer is received we may also sell Faes

You are right in one sense, but the 'three year period' is rolling unfortunately. So although we now look and hope to be clear of any 23/24 sanctions with the settlements for Enzo and his team and KDH, we still have a tight budget for this season.

Cool. Yeah, I'd take him actually. Think he plays the Winks role nicely. Winks is prone to an injury or two himself, so they between them, could cover that position off.
