  1. Trump, Taylor and the Chiefs. I don't think I can bring myself to watch this.
  2. But also I don't think any of the regulars who were left out have done enough to deserve to be regarded as automatic choices either. Put Leitzig and possibly Bott back in and that's the starting XI I'd like to see get a run given who's available currently.
  3. The Swedish season ended nearly three months ago so she needs to get her match fitness back, but even then she could surely have managed a bit longer. It does beg the question why she wasn't signed on the first day of the window rather than the last. Presumably either they weren't willing to put the money in before selling Kop, or Hlin wasn't the first choice. Or just general incompetence.
  4. The defence has mostly been a bomb scare all season, disguised by the generally poor standard of finishing in the WSL. Today is a more accurate reflection. As a club, Leicester have consistently done the bare minimum and are getting what they deserve. The squad is drenched with mediocrity.
  5. Sophie Howard kicking fresh air for the third goal.
  6. Busy summer ahead then, or a good opportunity for a rebuild IF the club have the appetite. Momiki not listed but as she was signed around the same time as Takarada she could be 2025 too.
  7. I’ve just watched her goals from last season and there’s a nice variety. She looks decent in the air and there are a couple of absolute bangers. Some of the defending and goalkeeping looks a bit weak, but all in all she looks like she knows how to finish when given an opportunity. Having said that, it was a video of goals and there might have been horrendous misses along the way. Also interesting to hear Who Let the Dogs Out as goal music in a women’s match!
  8. A Welsh international back up keeper. What could possibly go wrong?!
  9. I didn't really understand the signing after an uninspiring loan spell, but Asmita Ale is quietly having a really good season.
  10. Late winner for Spurs women at Palace. Tottenham have been great for Leicester all round today.
  11. Shinji Goodwin!
  12. It's ok, conceding terrible goals isn't really a problem for a free-scoring team like Leicester.
  13. Olivia Clark from FC Twente apparently.
  14. Imagine doing a drinking game watching Sky's coverage where you had to take a drink every time Neil or Phoebe says 'right'. You'd be dead by the end of the first quarter. This could be shaping up as a last-possession-wins game.
  15. I did think of Chloe Kelly when I wrote my previous post but left her name out of it as it seems far too much of a stretch, even in her current circumstances. She wasn't in the Man City squad at all today. The manager said she had a knock, but there are strong rumours of a permanent transfer in this window. Even if that doesn't happen, they are short of attacking options and have lost their last two games so Gareth Taylor might finally realise he needs to be playing her. I like the idea though, and if in some unfathomable twist of fate it did happen it would be the commercial boost the club needs. Williams was a player I thought City should have gone for when they were first promoted - she was at Spurs at the time. She's now 37 so would probably be a bench player wherever she was, and since she comes on in every game at United I think she'll be happy where she is. Maybe a homecoming might have some appeal though. Realistically it's more likely to be a Polish international I've never heard of who is stuck on the bench at Stuttgart. Or something like that.
  16. I thought Gilly Flaherty made a good point (never thought I would type those words) when she suggested Leicester should look to sign a forward on loan who needs game time ahead of the Euros. I've no idea who, if anyone, might fit the bill but potentially it's a way to get a better player than would otherwise be willing to join.
  17. Pre-match quote from Amandine Miquel re signings: "Right now, we need people that care and that want to help. If we don't find that player in our minds, we will not be adding any players because I trust the quality we already have here for the second phase [of the season]."
  18. Not to mention strengthening Spurs by selling them a much better keeper than they already have immediately before playing them!
  19. One of the better first halves they've had this season. Not that the bar is very high on that.
  20. Nelly Las has always been really good when I've seen her in England youth teams. The early signs are that she can do it in the WSL too. A bit damning on the rest that a 17 year old instantly looks like one of the best players though.
  21. Sold the wrong keeper!
  22. I'm ok with it not being a clean shot!
  23. I think you mean it's reactive bullshit. Reactionary actually means wanting things to stay the same.
  24. Goff has picked a bad day to have a bad day.
  25. 2-0 up and well on the way to losing at Man City in the next round.
