I'm fortunate enough to be able to afford those prices, but I just don't think it's value for money. I've probably attended my last game.

Not someone I've ever heard of, but I found a very brief Reddit discussion from 4 months ago discussing an article about why Ajax haven't renewed her contract and it doesn't sound great. In summary the article says she's controlling, lacks empathy, upsets staff and doesn't give inexperienced players much of a look in. Could all be rubbish of course (though the article is behind a paywall which suggests it isn't just some random spouting nonsense), but it's not exactly a glowing testimonial. She won the league last year though (runners up this time) and then had a decent Champions League performance - they got to the QFs where they drew 1-1 then lost 3-0 to Chelsea. Also, the article didn't mention shagging players, so that's a plus.

I'd say you have a distinctly average starting XI with two or three exceptions who may well be targeted by other clubs in the summer. You need to be signing starters and have current starters become your squad depth rather than signing cover. As a potential signing Stokes seems more Sven than Nigel to me.

Stokes is 32 and has rarely got on the pitch in the last couple of seasons. She could maybe do a job of sorts for Leicester but I wouldn't see her as a great option these days.
-
She's barely had a kick this season, it's odd Man City didn't loan her out again. But based on last year she'd definitely be a good signing. Angeldahl would be really good too. Might be tricky selling a stagnating club to them though!

Team for next season: Leitzig, Momiki, Rantala +8 signings.

Same old, same old.

Strange of Bristol City to choose to play without a goalkeeper tonight.
-
Fair result really. WHU had a couple of good chances to add the their score in the first half, and Leicester did in the second. Two quite poor teams though.
-
The second half is seeing Leicester on top, a few good chances have come and gone (standard!).

It's working again for me using the app on my iPad - still can't get in on TV or PC. Took a bit of persistence though.
-
I was able to watch half an hour up until half time but then made the mistake of trying to scroll back and now I'm locked out again. Meanwhile I've been able to watch every game from the NWSL this season on an app on my TV. The WSL really need to catch up.

1-1 Howard header from a corner.

Man City-Arsenal on one screen, WHU-Leicester on the other - it's like watching two different sports.
-
And 1-0 down
-
Leicester representation in the England U17 Euros which are underway today. Currently 2-0 up at half time v Norway, available on BBC website/iPlayer. Other group games are against Sweden (5.30pm on Wednesday) and France (2.30pm on Saturday).

It’s very enjoyable! In fairness she’s done well to win so many trophies when her only advantages were the biggest budget and the best players.

Obviously a good summer of recruitment could change things, but at the moment I can’t see Leicester being much better next season. 8th at best, could be as low as 11th. There shouldn’t be any relegation danger unless Palace recruit really well. The season after might be iffy though as Newcastle could be joining the party. The PL clone was obviously a short cut to develop the women’s game and has helped the national team, but it does mean the league can be pretty dull for most teams, especially when the relegation place is pretty much decided before a ball is kicked. That doesn’t help grow crowds at clubs like Leicester when many results are foregone conclusions and success is survival with no real hope of anything more meaningful.

Not a great record to have - it just highlights how often we've been relegated from the top flight.
-
Agree about the title, but I don't think Leeds are a threat, just that them not being in the Premier League would be funny!
-
Just me supporting Ipswich tonight then?
-
I wouldn't be surprised if a bit of macho peer pressure means no-one actually wears them in a game. Apparently the new helmets are as safe as these anyway.
-
Unlikely before the start of next season, not that it won't happen at all.
-
Dare I say I absolutely hate the Premier League?! Every silver lining has a cloud!
-
They will need a lot of upgrading. Without that the relegation spot will be tied up from the start and the season will consist of dead rubbers for most teams, just like this season has been.
